Brilliant Gameologists

First time round these parts?

We’ve put together a list of recommended listening to get a sense of who we are and what kind of ride you’re in for.

Before you listen:

• We are not family friendly and not normally safe for work.  We occassionally use naughty words and about once an episode discuss a topic that wouldn’t come up at most family dinners.
• We strive to balance research-based gaming theory (meaning we look up stuff beforehand, come in with other people’s ideas and/or put together a comprehensive look at a topic) with fun, light banter.  Some episodes are more column A and some are more column B.
• The 3 hosts are in every episode
• We really try to have good audio quality.  Every now and then it dips- due to the air conditioner running, the dogs snoring, or random gremlins taking up residence in the cords.  If you hear one episode that doesn’t sound great, keep giving us a chance and let us know.
• The podcast is only Part 1 of the Brilliant Gameologists experience.  We have prolific message boards that have something for everyone and are constantly evolving based on feedback.  We also use twitter (bg_meg, bg_josh, and bg_zeke) and facebook and interact with folks regularly.  For those less 2.0 we do check our email and respond, so contact us!

Listen to our 4 Clip Shows- they are short and take clips from real shows to get a sense of the “tone” of the show.

1) Season 1 Clip Show

This is a 10 minute clip of 3 of our Season 1 Episodes we put together for the Parsec Nominations.  It includes clips from:
