Your take on a Prestige Paladin taking Battle Blessing? The fact that you asked me that question confused me, and I had to re-read the rules. It seems I screwed up on my copy and pasting. PrC versions of base classes are not allowed. If the base class is available, the PrC version is not. @ archangel.arcanis - If the PrC requires you to have those specific deities, then that's how it has to be, sorry. There's no adaptation rules for this. For PrC, it's RAW. Actually, pretty much everything is RAW for this, as far as I've been told. That is fine it just makes it a bit more difficult to pull off without getting cheesy. I'll work on a build without OC this week.

Seems everybody wants to go with a cleric.
So far my build seems to be:
Cloisted Cleric 3/ Church Inquisitor 4/ Radiant Servant of Pelor 5/ Divine Oracle 2/ Contemplative 6 (Yeah you can read that as, everything to get extra domains).
What I need to ask is what I my deity runs out of domains? And will you allow spells like shapechange? There is a ban on Polymorph, but not on shapechange which confuses me.

Well. I don't really need that, and I'm happy with the Radiant Servant levels, it gives me weapon profs.

Just a random thought, but ... hells I wouldn't have known about either Archangels daughter or Saeomons niece if I didn't happen to be on these threads.
Sounds fine to me. probably over on "Off-topic". might want to put a little disclaimer in the first post. This is the Min/Max board. We should be able to figure out a way to optimize the POWER OF PRAYER(TM) that doesn't involve "Pazuzu, Pazuzu, Pazuzu". My final project for my film independent study course. It could do with a watching and critiquing

If I picked up an animal companion from say, sorc, and I only took one level, and then a PrC that advanced AC, would the sorc only count as the .5, or will it be rounded up?

What I need to ask is what I my deity runs out of domains? And will you allow spells like shapechange? There is a ban on Polymorph, but not on shapechange which confuses me. Consider it an oversight on their part. Off the top of my head, I forget what exactly the spell does, but I think Polymorph was considered more "broken". Assume it's not allowed. I'll have to look on the old rules that they originally gave me. I'll put it up here after. You guys have been really good at pointing things out, and proof-reading. I make sure to note these things and send it to them. Maybe if they get enough e-mails something will happen before Christmas. If I picked up an animal companion from say, sorc, and I only took one level, and then a PrC that advanced AC, would the sorc only count as the .5, or will it be rounded up? Couldn't tell you. I think that'd be a "Simple Question" thread question. And sorcerers get familiars, not companions.

It is a wiz or sorc variant option to swap the familiar for an AC, but "as a druid of half his class level"

UA pg 59, top left. Found it. That's not half bad. I think there's a rule in the Rules Compendium (don't quote me on that) where the minimum of a divided number is supposed to be 1. So I'd say it'd be rounded up to 1.

Here's the original rules set for the playtest. I've since petitioned to get them changed, and allow stuff to be added, but this will show you guys what they've been using for the last 10 years or so since 3.0 came out, and the game started. I've built characters using this ruling before in previous games, but I thought I'd change it up some. However, if you guys think I'm going about this all wrong, and should keep the original rules that they've been using for 10+ years, without any variation, then I'll definitely take it under advisement. As it is, I get told "And this is why we haven't veered from the original rules" whenever I bring up difficulties, and whatnot.

I believe the intent is that the progression would go on as it had before, but since there is no official ruling available, to my knowledge, it could also be inferred that the PrC would add +1 to effective druid level for animal companion. Thus, if you have Sorcerer 6/AC PrC 5, then you'd have 8 effective druid levels for determining your animal companion's abilities. On a separate note, I've been looking over the possibility of entering in with a character, but I'm assuming ScM is one of those "broken" things even if it were understood that shadow illusion can't be used to replicate 9th level spells, since even using Earth Spell wouldn't mean a spell could be heightened to 10th level. Especially if I wanted to combine it with a Beguiler/Wizard/Ultimate Magus with Practiced Spellcaster to advance only Wizard levels. (This would be a hunter who believes themself capable of outsmarting and tricking any prey they seek.) Alternatively, this could be achieved without ScM so as to be less cheesy/broken, but I'd need something else to fill in 5 levels... I do have other ideas, and it might be a good chance to work on a 20th level version of the character I was playing in the Fear the Unknown game that got cancelled (Cleric/Warlock/Eldritch Disciple, using buffs and eldritch glaive along with spells and items to move as a swift action in order to get full attacks in, and using the Divine Magician ACF- This would be a hunter who seeks out enemies of the church, using special deity-granted magic to weaken their prey for easier capture or outright bringing them to the ultimate punishment). Plus some other ideas. If there's room, of course.

Starting Gold is standard for WBL?
My current build is a LG Aflicted Were-Deinonychus (likely human as base but may change) Cleric 3/Church Inquisitor 6/Moon Guardian 5 (Web Enhance for Comp. Div.)/4 animal HD and +2 LA
Still up in the air on feats. I plan on being Lawful good and part of a religious "cult" that worships the Moon and War (with favored weapon as Longsword for lawful) and hunts Were creatures. We were betrayed by one of our own and I have set out to hunt him down. (this is the corruption within a lawful good religious group required by CI and how my character was infected)
Items I plan on getting: MM rod quicken (possibly multiple), Tome Str +4, Tome Dex +5, Belt of Magnificence (?? whatever the +6 to all stats belt from MiniHB is) This is all assuming I will have enough money since I haven't checked all the prices and don't know how much I have to work with (and i'm not going to say we pulled an infinite money trick to just buy whatever we want before the game)

You have 760,000 gold, as per the WBL table. Rule 13. And it is the Belt of Magnificence that you're thinking of. It's 200k.

Ah saw the point buy and obviously didn't finish reading the line. I might end up separating them into two separate rules if this gets brought up again, just in case. The old one had them as two different rules, but I thought that was stupid.
