I don't know why she'd act any different at all. There is no ongoing effect between you, at least RAW. She's just like a cohort gained through Leadership, except a bit more loyal and easy to replace.

I don't think there is much I can do except to help him expect removing the spike I don't think concussion would be an effective way of treating mental problems.

I could simply heal you, but your Thrall didn't ask me to, and I'm not attempting to heal you when you don't have open wounds unless she asks me to.

I'm pretty sure it says Heal, as in the spell named Heal, not just any healing effect... I looked it up myself, and thought only the two spells on my list that might help were the ones I asked about in the OOC thread. I can cast CLW and the like spontaneously myself.

Edit: I can also cast Remove Curse, if that will help.

My guy is pretty effectively invisible (inside a Deeper Darkness spell, hiding, and wearing a Ring of Darkhidden...), and he hasn't said anything yet. So he hasn't given any sign of what he sees. I'm waiting on Amechra for info. I want to get a better idea of WTF this thing is and might do before I react to it. So far I know it is some kind of choker, but that's it. I guess maybe I should try to drop a Glitterdust on it or something, but he said it is different somehow, and I want to make sure it isn't lacking eyes or something before I start wasting spells on it that turn out to be useless.

I also haven't done anything about Robert's confusion because my character doesn't know what is wrong with him, AFAIK. Robert just started stumbling around. I don't really know how much I should assume my character knows about something like that. To me, it seems like he wouldn't know, and so I won't act on it, unless the DM says otherwise, or I have ranks in something that might let me figure it out. My character is lacking ranks in Heal, and there was no visible "effect" done to Robert, so I can't really make a spellcraft check or anything. So I don't know how he'd know WTF is going on with him.

If it is Confusion as the spell, then it should become more apparent as the effect goes on, and he starts attacking people randomly and all that stuff.

I'm having serious difficulty following the story over the slow pace.  Sorry about that; RL is just kind of hectic. 

Moving to another state on Tuesday, packers coming on Monday, and last day of work was yesterday.  So, please, I'll go with the majority, and NPC me if I'm the "hold-up".

You don't get Initiative because it did something you really didn't expect; i.e. that it just teleported 80+ ft, tore a spike out of one of your allies chests, and moved to grapple you.

OK... I object to this for at least a couple of reasons:

1) RAW: You don't get to go first because you did something "unexpected". You get to go first if you:
a) win initiative
b) get a surprise round

2) RAI: I'm playing a paranoid genius wizard with an enormous Int score and Uncanny Forethought. He predicts shit that no one else thinks of. And he can teleport. So that's not something he wouldn't think of.

So unless this thing has an ability like a dire tortoise that lets it automatically get a surprise round, this smells an awful lot like bullshit to me.
