Aha, found it. I know it is merely sage...and that stuff goes either way... link. I misremembered which it was (there was a question about dragon shaman), this one actually falls into the healing subschool. I assume I'd get a little more verbalization, since you're supposedly able to use detect thoughts to find command words. Not sure how doppelgangers manage to use detect thoughts so effectively. I figured you would get more information, but the other two still had actions to fill for two rounds.

Given that his feet are manacled, I think there should be time for us to attempt to stop him from flipping over, right?

With the way you chained him up, it didn't sound like you changed the stance he was in (I made a point to mention he "froze"). Which made me think he still had walking room.
Nevertheless I could see some speed reduction or some sort, but an action to stop him from moving? On what grounds?
The only precedent I could see for an action to stop him would be an AoO, but with a withdraw you wouldn't get one, and the other two are presently bent over the corpse.
Now with all that said, I will allow you to save your sand, I don't want such a neat tool to be lost on something like this.

Well, we did bind his arms and his legs. I don't really see you moving that far with your legs bound together (and I kind of assumed we were doing a decent enough job - otherwise I would have held off on the detect thoughts until it was secure)

Aye I assumed we just secured him well enough too when we were placing the manacles on his wrists and ankles.

I had assumed something such as this... So still room to move, or at least waddle. In either case, a movement of a 10ft is all that is needed to go tumbling over the side, with a full round of actions that only requires a movement speed of 5ft. Unless a rail is considered difficult terrain...then 10ft movement speed would be required, which still seems reasonable for manacles, seeing as running around in full plate or a heavy load only knocks you down to 20ft for a 30ft speed.

Well, that and I was right next to him and should at least get an AoO to try to grab onto the chains and prevent him from flipping over. The DC for escape is 15 higher than the 20 afforded by entangle.
I understand where you're coming from, but if I knew that chaining him up would allow any degree of movement I'd have had someone sit on him as well, or more likely just chain him to the rail.
I could probably recover the sand once he gets 100 feet away... but come to think of it, I think the upper district has automatic featherfall on all the bridges, so clearly if he escapes I should jump after him to keep the manacles active and put the fear of the Silver Flame into him.
So basically my next action is predicated upon whether or not there's featherfall here (should be obvious based on rate of falling)

I would agree with an AoO if there wasn't a withdraw action, with it, isn't much you can do.
Chained to something I wouldn't have had a problem with, nor would I have had a problem with say hog tying it. In both cases I would agree that movement would near impossible.
Hmm...I hadn't realized feather fall got thrown on automatically...This probably means I need to read more...
Though it is suppose to have a duration...and it doesn't have a stated caster level...unless of course I am reading it wrong.

Well, I doubt he's going to fall to his death, right?
How far up is this bridge above other stuff? Screw it. I specifically wrote that Cumulo "Has difficulties leaving anything partway completed", and this certainly qualifies. If nothing else, he'll break the fall with his enemy.

Before you go jumping, make sure you take note that he did succeed at resisting feather fall.

Not sure if we can take One with us. Sim certainly can't carry him and if we attempt to drag we'll likely be caught by the watch.

Seems we already have been caught by the watch. And though we could escape with the help of a little grease, Kobold are sorta easy to find, even in Sharn.

Reforming the sand into a barely-heavier-than air coatl statue made out of soarwood while falling- yeah or nay?

Trying to write this right, yeah you can put it into an object, I am unsure of the actual falling distance for range purposes, so to save me the headache of trying to do that, it will simply be, yes.
It will retain its fall speed, i think, pre-reform though, still making it hit first, but that is easy enough. I will edit the earlier spoiler.

So the bystanders see a warforged fall out of the sky and hit the ground. Then a wooden statue of a coatl falls out of the sky and hits the warforged. Then a cleric of the silver flame falls out of the sky and picks up the wooden statue.
Am I getting the chain of events right?

Warforged, ~2 rounds later statue, ~2 rounds later watch arrive, ~4 rounds later you land.

I'd just like to point out I've got a large thundercloud that's flashing silver fire/lightning 50' above me. Should be visible from the upper walkway.

Hmm...10 min duration, missed that, but almost 600 ft is going to be some awesome spot penalties in addition to the rain.

I should have probably written it better, it was meant to be an optional roll, but I like what you have, go with it.
