Ah, ok.  Probably don't have enough feats to swing that, then.  I can still just take the CWar version of Elusive Target, right?  I think I'll wait for that.
Yeah sure, if you want to. You can still take the Tome feat too, if you need Dodge as a prereq for something.
Yeah, I need Elusive Target as a pre-req for Spring Attack and Elusive Target.  Confused

I'm not sure if anybody got the hint, but I'd like some advice with feats if anybody feels up to it.   Big Grin

Mindsight and/or Darkstalker come to mind. Big Grin

Edit: Actually... with Blindsight as an ability already, and coupled with my "nerfs" to Mindsight, you could do without it, easily. (I'm saying that Mindblank and other things that make you immune to Mind-Affecting work against Mindsight, which I suspect is RAI. Also, Slippery Mind can let you hide from it.)

Darkstalker could still come in handy, though.

Psicrystal Affinity is handy... but you could live without it, seeing as you already have great stealth + detection abilities, and it would be another body you'd have to worry about hiding.

A couple of water benders, a dike, a flaming arrow, and a few barrels of blasting jelly?

Mindsight I'd already passed on, I'd thought about the points you just brought up and decided against it.

Darkstalker I didn't even think of, that's definitely going on the list of things I want.

Oh yeah, any of you guys can take Hidden Talent, if you want. I forget what the normal restrictions are on that feat, but it would basically get you an extra 1st level power known. It would replace the free Wild Talent feat I gave everyone, if you take it. I still think it is likely worth it, as you could cherry pick a 1st level power from any class power list.

I don't think I've played anything quite like what you have there and don't know where to start. Imp. Init is never a bad choice. If Phaedrus will allow you to use them by proxy through your puppet you could go with earth sense & earth power to reduce costs and give you some detection ability, though about half the team looks to be doing this also.

That could be interesting. Let me look it up and see how it would interact and I'll probably make the switch and find a nice Psion only power.

edit: Bah not in either SRD so I'll have to wait until I get home and look in XPH.

Given that Hidden Talent includes the benefits of Wild Talent, why would any of us not choose to do that? Tongue

No, no... sorry. I meant that you can choose to take Hidden Talent with one of your feat slots. It won't be free, and it won't actually stack with the benefits of Wild Talent (which you already have). So effectively, you'll be spending a feat to gain a 1st level power known. You won't get two more bonus power points from it.

I did not mean that you could "upgrade" your Wild Talent to Hidden Talent for free. There is a Soulknife ACF that does that, which is fine for those of you taking Soulknife levels.

Something else that I don't think I included in the house rules, but which I think is probably fairly common: If you get an ability twice (Evasion, Telepathy, etc), we'll let them stack in whatever manner seems appropriate. So Evasion twice would upgrade to Improved Evasion. Telepathy twice would likely just add the ranges, etc.

Nanshork, there you go. Go into Psionic Mindbender, then take Mindsight.

Hmmm... you could qualify for swiftblade with 4 levels of ardent, assuming you can add physical acceleration to a mantle. And Practiced Manifester would cover the ML loss...

you never answered me when I asked how this was possible, seeing as physical acceleration is a 3rd level power

also, any obscure martial weapons I might be interested in, or should I just take a longsword and call it a day?

I'm fine with my Blindsight, thanks.

The problem is, I can find a bunch of feats that will be good as soon as I go up a level, but none that I can take now that look useful to me that aren't Darkstalker.

You could also pick up metapsionic feats that you might want later. Quicken PLA or Ability Focus applied to Charm might be worth a feat, too.

Overchannel is something to look at, as well as psychic talent and Ability Focus.  I'll dig around the Dreamscarred press srd.

Edit:

Options: Extend Power, Creature Capacitor, Mentally Inconspicuous, Subconcious Containment, Overchannel tree, Darkstalker, and Ability Focus.

Edit edit: Anybody have an opinion in the options?   Tongue

Nick, have you considered this stuff? (if Phaedrus will allow it) And is there a writeup for your custom summoner anyway?

Still need items and personality/backstory for my character.
