Well, in the first case I'd think I'd get my attack in on the grappler instead and stop my charge there.
I guess I could argue it's essentially the same as an AoO, which would lean towards the second case.

arch, you should just charge instead. There is a darkmantle above the doorway, you should at least be able to see its tenticals from outside the room.
