ONE and Ragna move around the village trying to find any possible survivors, or clues to what else caused so much damage, apart from a dragon.

Ashara follows alongside the group, keeping her eyes open to anything suspicious. Upon discovering the blood trail, she smirks.
"Seems like whatever did this happens to be forest-dwelling. I'm not too fond of trees, myself. Any thoughts on what we should do next?"

"Hmm... I think it's pretty clear that the only way to find out what did this is to follow the trail. It could just lead into an ambush or trap laid by the culprits, but we can be smart about how we proceed."

Akashiel mounts up on the dragon, "I'll keep an aerial watch." A rough nudge sends the dragon winging above the bloody trail, as she lets the dragon's keener senses feel the air.
OOC: Dragon has blindsense.

"Into the woods!" Akashiel points forward, commanding the dragon. As the ornery creature started to stoop, " Wait! Wait,! OVER the woods!"
The dive levels out to a low sweep over the woods along the trail of the blood.

For a moment, Iustitia sat pondering what to do with it. She couldn't very well handle the damned thing, it was obviously powerful enough to become unreadable to her, and she knew another attempt at the process wasn't going to figure any more out. From her experience, that made it both very strong, and with it's aura, very old usually. She couldn't be sure about anything but the strong, but frankly that was enough. Taking a crowbar and her water jug from her pouch, she emptied some of the water from the clay pot-jug. Then, utilizing the crowbar as a rod and the jug as a scoop and storage, she pushed the dagger into the semi-full container, and quickly closed the lid tightly with the chord. Stuffing the jug back into her sack, she tightened back her cloak and made her way to find her compatriots. As Akashiel and the newfound dragon swooped over the forest with some sort of cry, Iustitia finally found the group. "The dagger is problematic as a bitch. What've you all found out in that hour?"

"The priestess riding the dragon seemed to have shouted for the woods and flying over there. I guess she had found some trails." ONE reports.

".... Huh?
'What are the rest of us doing?' I just spent an hour analyzing a weird-ass evil knife in a room full of dead massacred bodies, only to find that either the obviously evil thing is either powerless or way stronger than we thought, and then shoved it in a water jug for safe keeping. If the dragon-rider has a trail, great, I'll wait for the priest on the mother-loving dragon to get back here and tell us if it's safe."

"Listen," Dez snaps at Iustitia, "I wasn't talking about you, so I would appreciate if you canned that attitude. I was referring to the fact that while you were performing your ritual, and the other one took off on one of our main modes of transportation, the rest of us haven't actually DONE anything. I have been trying to set up a plan, but I suppose everyone else is just here for show, rather than providing any sort of useful services."
Dez is clearly becoming impatient, given the current circumstances.
"Now that you're done determining that the dagger is fairly useless to us, perhaps you can contribute to our figuring out how to proceed into the obvious trap that awaits us within that forest, because I doubt if Akashiel will be able to find out anything by flying over the thick, dark, concealing foliage."

Iustitia thought with a smile just how wrong the thought of the dagger being useless was, and was all the more pleased to have it fairly safely stowed away. "Attitude comes with the winning, and the winning suggests that we go through the forest. The dragon isn't as useful for scouting, no... but it IS useful for point-torching any point of forest we find remarkably irritating, should the need arise. I suggest we work on the ground, while not being taken advantage of via the air. Then the only thing we have to worry about is underneath us.
On that note... who is the big strong warrior that wants to lead the rest into the forest? Or alternatively, with our back-up destruction plan, who is fireproof?"
