"Cultivation of Magicite would require special measures from what you say. I do not think the gods would be pleased with such a...material."Akashiel makes a sign as she moved with the group, a red haired halfling trotting along behind her.
" I suppose it would depend on which Gods you asked. Regardless, it sounds highly dangerous. Poisoning the world in order to harvest some miracle-mineral is not worthwhile, in my opinion."

"Father Earth would be decidedly displeased at the intrusion to be sure, as would his siblings. Perhaps in a safely isolated area...like the realm of whatever this threat may be."Akashiel nods, then addresses the sweaty man, "And how would we stop this threat?"

"That is a good question, and your means to stop it are entirely up to you. The first thing is their is a small village up north that has become deserted and all atempts at contact have been met with silence i suggest you head that way

"How far north is this village? What is the terrain like? How many people live in it? What manner of creatures have been known to be sighted around there? How long has contact been impossible? Has anyone else been sent? Do they have anything valuable - resources, gold, something else?"
Ashara's barrage of questions was fast, almost frantic, and her face appeared to be a mess of analytical thoughts.

the sweaty man returns the rattle of questions with answers unfazed "The Village is two days ride on an open highway , The number of villagers are unkown , The Manner of creatures are the usual goblins, trolls, orcs, and raiders, and contact has been gone for a month we have sent scouting parties who have all returned, resorces is produce cattle, farming, and such."

Akashiel frowns at what she heard, "I doubt those would pose such a threat that it requires such as us to deal with, unless...theres something else there?"

"If you have no faith in our abilities, do not insult us by sending us the letters then. But if you mean no insult, whoever sent you is confident in our abilities then. And we have responded to the call, because we know we are good enough." ONE replies with rising heat in his tone.

Following the others' lead, Dez literally does just that, but after a moment pipes up with a thought. " You know, I can't help but feel there's something we aren't being told... Besides, of course, 'anything.' This... man... claims his master is to remain unknown? How are we supposed to trust them if they are staying hidden in the shadows?" Psychology check to sense if the man is intentionally keeping anything from us: 1d20(5)+12=17Of course, the ToP link is a bit conflicting, saying at one that Sense Motive has been renamed Psychology, whereas elsewhere it is described as being subsumed into Perception. >_<

Sounds like a magnificent plan. A village drops off the map, and the contacting parties have all done the same. Best idea: WE go search it. It's foolproof!" Iustitia smirks a sarcastically evil smirk as Lea, yet again worried looking, whispers something about morale in her mentors ear. As the student is brushed off, the master hands her a scroll that had been strapped to the back of her belt, next to a bag with strange, arcane designs upon it. "Here's the list, I want you to stay here and make sure the library is in order by the time we've identified this. If there's a problem, we'll send a messenger back here, in which case you're to do your best to communicate and act. You are young yet, Lea, but I know I can trust you with this."

"I suggest we go and investigate in any case. A prudent scouting approach shouldn't cause much trouble. I also think that this village would make for a good location for an outpost of the Brotherhood on this world. We can all ride on my scorpion - it'll make travel faster."
