Oh sure, everyone uses DMM, but I haven't seen builds using Divine Ward (makes touch spells close range) or Sacred Vengeance?

On a strange note, would anyone be put out if we had a post about people or events we can spare a thought for, or if its within their creed, a prayer for? Just a random thought, but ... hells I wouldn't have known about either Archangels daughter or Saeomons niece if I didn't happen to be on these threads.
Sounds fine to me.

might want to put a little disclaimer in the first post.

This is the Min/Max board. We should be able to figure out a way to optimize the POWER OF PRAYER(TM) that doesn't involve "Pazuzu, Pazuzu, Pazuzu".

My final project for my film independent study course. It could do with a watching and critiquing

Divine Defiance is AWESOME, too, as is Travel/Chaos/Law/Animal Devotion and some others...

Divine Vigor is one of my personal favorites.  The main reason you really don't see them is that most of them aren't very helpful.

I am constantly amazed by how many DM's ban Tomb of Battle.  The book doesn't even exist!

Why would you even do this? It hurts my eyes and looks like you ate your keyboard before suffering an attack of explosive diarrhea.

Now if only someone would actually let me play my counterspeller build

Eh, the wizard have more money than them combined, he could in theory just use all his money on a fleet of trained attack mules, but then we aren't playing 3.5 but zergling rushing in Starcraft instead.

You just need the right DM.  I play a Zhent Skymage, counterspeller (divine defiance, etc.), recently entered Iot7V when I meet up w/ some old friends.  It's not the most abusable version of that build -- doesn't have Mastery of Counterspelling, has a Blood Fiend rather than a Baalor for a mount, but I'm more than happy w/ it and we get our asses kicked w/ some regularity.

I suppose it does help that I've known the DM for like 15 years and that I also worked real hard to crack out everyone else's characters too.

I am only 2,500xp away from spell siphoning, too bad most games don't go epic.

Actually one of the probs w/ these feats is that most are standard actions that can't be quickened. It is not that they are not good, just that the effects can often be duplicated and actions spared.

What about Quickened Turning? Would it speed them up?

I am a big fan of Earth Devotion. It has proven to be very handy for my low level crusader/cleric. He also has Animal Devotion, but I haven't had a reason to use it yet.

The positive/negative energy channeling feats from Kingdoms of Kalamar are pretty good.  But nobody uses those books Sad

Is that the spike stones one?  if so, I agree.  Not especially powerful, but lots of fun.

I'm really tempted to use it w/ a character I have coming up, though I don't think I'll have the extra feats for it.  I also didn't know how effective it really was in practice.  It will stop some charging, but I've already got reach plus Thicket O' Blades ...

It can also allow you to charge. A cleric dip can get it for free. Big Grin

Yeah, which enhanced its appeal.  It's for my Crusader/Cloistered Cleric/Warblade/Ur-Priest/RKV character.  But, I'm thinking his domains are going to get him the Law Devotion (probably suboptimal to Animal, but I have really wanted to try it out) and Extra Turning for its goodness.  Really it's between Extra Turning and Earth Devotion, but I have some time before the campaign starts.  It's a Dragonlance War of the Lance thing, apparently, so things are going to be a bit funky anyway.
