This char is going to have 3 feats for sure Mage Slayer, Pierce Magical Protection, Pierce Magical Concealment. Also taking the spell turning replacement for evasion from complete arcane. I get 2 flaws as well.

OK fighter 5 levels and then master thrower, Brutal throw, power throw, then for tricks double toss, palm throw, and the weak spot one?
I was thinking of doing feat rogue also but I want into master thrower soon as I can.

Or should I just go Halfling rogue racial sub and get into master thrower? Benefits of this are double toss, plus palm throw, plus sneaky throw thing means I can spring attack around the place getting in some good dmg.

Everything 3.5 but book of nine swords is pretty well allowed. The rest of the party are casters and they needed someone to fill the last spot.

Any suggestions on which two paths and best way to flesh them out?

An odd number of Fighter levels?  Never, ever do that!  Master Thrower can combine nicely with Bloodstorm Blade (from Tome of Battle) once you're high enough level.  Maybe something like:

Fighter 2 / Warblade 4 / Bloodstorm Blade 1

Then start alternating levels of BSB and Master Thrower I suppose.

Also, Bloodstorm Blade makes your ranged attacks count as melee attacks in some respects.
Which will save you Brutal Throw and Power Throw for just Power Attack.

No ToB allowed, guys. But yeah, I would recommend having some bonus damage to flesh out your attacks...see if you can get boomerangs to qualify as palmable weapons, play a halfling, and try and grab the Boomerang Daze/Boomerang Ricochet feats. Seconding the notion of not ever taking odd fighter levels.

Have you considered using some fighter variants? If you are going to be taking a heavy investment in Fighter the thug variant can provide your character with some valuable social/city-style skills (as to give your character something to do out of combat).

You should also attempt to find some source of quality sneak attack.

Throwing without Bloodstorm Blade is already a suboptimal idea, without wasting feats on Power/Brutal Throw. That said, all you have to do is find a different way to add damage. Good options include:

Fighter (Hit and Run) 1, Dex to damage to opponents denied their Dex to AC.
Swashbuckler 3 , Int to Damage

To get some dmg what about power throw and 5th master thrower gets to make touch attacks. Can add pretty much my entire bab that way, and ya think I'm gonna go with the rogue for sneak attack. Is there a way to get them flatfooted, as a free action? Flick of the wrist makes them flat footed but I'm not sure what kinda of action it is.

I hate to nitpick, but Pierce Magical Protection only works with melee weapons by RAW.

Your contempt for magic is so fierce that as a standard action you can make a melee attack that ignores any bonuses to Armor Class granted by spells....

I ran into this problem with a character I'm currently playing, but hopefully your DM will ignore that part of the feat.

So. . . Your party is made up of casters, they want you to play a noncaster, and they don't want you to use ToB. Lol, enjoy your short end of stick.

Anyhow, I'll second solo's advice. Always listen to anything solo says, take it at face value, and follow it to the letter without question or hesitation. Good things will happen, and it might not even involve sodomy if you're lucky.

If you're looking for more boring fare, targetteer fighter variant from dragon 310 will let you dump STR in favor of DEX to damage - though that'll be of limited use once you start using palm throw, since it'd dependent on you getting STR to damage in the first place, and then replacing it with dex.

Yup.

lol

If you're looking for more boring fare, targetteer fighter variant from dragon 315 will let you dump STR in favor of DEX to damage - though that'll be of limited use once you start using palm throw, since it'd dependent on you getting STR to damage in the first place, and then replacing it with dex.

Would be nice, but only counts for ranged weapons.

Yet another reason for Bloodstorm Blade. Try to explain to your DM that martial characters grow linearly in power, while casters grow exponentially in power. ToB makes it so they linearly but much higher, making them more viable.

To get some dmg what about power throw and 5th master thrower gets to make touch attacks.

If it were a feat the allowed you to use Power Attack on thrown weapons, I might change my mind. But as it stands, you only get a flat 1:1 ratio, for your loss of accuracy. Ask your DM if he'll let you use the feat as "can use Power Attack on thrown weapons." Then throw something with 2 hands, while taking 10 levels of Frenzied Berserker.

Can add pretty much my entire bab that way, and ya think I'm gonna go with the rogue for sneak attack. Is there a way to get them flatfooted, as a free action? Flick of the wrist makes them flat footed but I'm not sure what kinda of action it is.

If your DM won't allow it to work that way, you will need an alternate source of damage. Sneak Attack is good, especially woith craven. In this case, I'd go: Swashbuckler 3/ Fighter 2 (Hit and Run)/ Invisible Blade 5/ Master Thrower 5/ X5 (Consider Factotum 4)

Feats: Weapon Focus (Kukri), PBS, Far Shot, Precise Shot, Craven, Surprising Riposte, TWF

If you can use a class with decent Knowledge skill access then Knowledge Devotion can also be very hand for upping ranged damage.

Dead Eye from Dragon Compendium gives dex to damage too if it is allowed.

You're right, I misread. In that case Int + 3*Dex to damage will do for damage.

I'd still use my old build, but add Vital Aim (Targetteer feat), Dead Eye.

That covers the basic rule issues I inevitably end up reminding someone of.

In short:

Hit-and-Run ACF OR Targeteer.
Deadeye works with both.
Palm Throw only gives precision damage on 1 dagger per hand, so you need to make sure if Damage Bonus X is precision or not.
Weak Spot doesn't go well with Vital Aim.

That is all.

Ended up going with the swashbuckler fighter, invs blade build.

So I did decent dmg, the game is a bit high powered and I ended up getting slaughtered. I had been dealing decent dmg for awhile and then we encountered a Minotaur who bull rushed me into a spike pit, which I survived only to eat a chain lightning bolt a few rooms later. Things did not go so well for our young hero.

So now new goal is to bring something retarded that I can slide under the radar. Dragon fire adepts look cool, but he said I could bring an Artificer which is more in line with the power level of the group. Right now there are 2 warlocks, and a persistanting cleric. The dm also does a thing where you can get a legacy item or a special ability. One warlock has something where he got a plus 4 to all stats. My new stats are 18 17 16 13 13 13, Would a DFA 5/ ur priest 2 / eldritch disciple be worth it or should I just stick with the instant gratification of the artificer?
