Aside form the tiny increase in price (12gp) is there any reason someone would use a light shield instead of a buckler?

Retire the character before the DM smacks you with the Table as the book will feel totally inadequate now.-Hazren

what about sliding down stairs while making improbable arrow shots? harder to do that with a buckler than a light shield...

There probably are a few more that a Lt or Hvy shield are needed for but they are rarely if ever used in my experience.
