The ToB is just trying to even the playing field.

Honestly, I'm just gonna ban taking more than 2 levels of Fighter or Monk next real game I run. You're just gonna have to suck it up and be a ToB Swordsage or Warblade instead.

you say that like it is a punishment. Honestly though i can understand your frustration, a group i used to play with just refused to deal with anything that was effective. Hell they even made the tier 1s play like T5 and 6s. If i would ever have tried to force that group into playing classes that had a chance at being effective they would have all quit complaining it was too much work.

Just stick them in classes its impossible to mess up, Dread Necromancer, Warmage and Druid spring to mind.

The players I play with, it is a punishment. They all freaked out when I played a Gnome Specialist Conjurer banning Evocation. The DM said that Evocation was so importnat he'd let me ban divination instead of a second 'real' school. (Won't make that mistake...) Even when I was ending encounters with 1 spell they were whining about how a fireball would have ended it faster. (I mean, if coup-de-grace-ing the encounter counts as time spent, then maybe...)

The only person I knew owned second ed books in that group was myself and the player who plays Clerics all the time. (He does them as buff-sticks, rather than heal-sticks. Hes actually very close to making optimized clerics without any help from forums.)

@Mister_Sinister: Yeah, combat buffs are still nice, since they keep you alive. Makes more sense for your character to have "selfish" spells prepared, too, though maybe keep it on the back-burner for later on.

Working on a map for the players to use as a reference. I am using google docs spreadsheet with color filled squares to represent each type of terrain. I have added everyone as an editor so that as we progress whoever has time can add to the map. You all should have gotten an email stating as much, i used the email that you had in your account profile. I also added Generic to the list in case we botch something, if he wants to add to it rather than describing everything, or copy parts to use for combat encounters.

You are welcome. I didn't get past the stairs though. I got busy at work. I'll do one for each dungeon with each level being a different page. If you guys don't like my colors i used feel free to change them, or if you know how and want to add in actual detail pictures (like dungeon tiles) then feel free. I would love some help with these though since i've never really used it like this before and don't exactly have all the time in the world to learn it right now.

In anything as Gygaxian as this module is proving to be, I am not taking any chances with ambushes from the rear.

So, is circling around the consensus?

A.A might be MIA, for a bit here. Just guessing.

My vote goes with that idea. Let's check out both side passages so we don't get jumped.

I'm not accusing you or anything, just making assumptions as to why you aren't posting. Take your time. I don't need to rush through this.

I thought I had an idea of our layout but I got turned around at some point.  I'll be looking at the map and reviewing our notes to get back on track.

Someone else can lead for a bit, just assume Thymm is in front bumping doors open with his polearm once they're checked for traps.

Ah, this is evidently confusing. I've edited the map to show exactly what the layout is, including the one-way nature of the 'secret' doors you found. I also added darkvision sighted squares, and a passage in the newest tunnel that I forgot to mention.

Assume 1 rectangle is 5'x5', despite the fact that the scale changes from columns to rows.

Shall we continue, since I'm back from the excitement inherent in being really busy?
