We're stalling again. Should I just make a transition back to the surface?

Sounds like a good idea. No player knows exactly how we're getting back up, so let's say we are back up.

You can now also - ooc if you like - divvy up the loot as you like.

Assumed to happen before combat?

Combat hasn't strictly started. If someone wants an item, he can still ask for it. If you get things done before the combat gets going, then you can use the items in combat.

Note that cat only needs one of the two items (non-stacking bonuses).  Smile

I actually wanted Cat to run around without items. The trouble is that he didn't have enough feats for him to take the evil VOP that Mag had - and I didn't want to copy too many of Surreal's good ideas. Seeing as Mag is now gone... I might have rework him a bit.

What Cat would also undoubtedly be interested in is the amulet of Protection from Good, at least before I rework/retrain him. Smile

Why is Cat with us in the first place, from an OOC PoV? Is he an experimental DMPC?

He's there because Snizor was solo for a while, and Daelric is behind on levels, and also, because it's too funny having a feral housecat. He doesn't really serve any purpose, but I sort of like him. I know you don't... but then, you can't have everything Smile.

A gygaxian dungeon is like the world's most messed up game show.

Behind door number one: INSTANT DEATH!
Behind door number 2: A magic crown!
Behind door number 3: 4d6 giant bees, and THREE HUNDRED POUNDS OF HONEY!
They don't/haven't, was the point. 3.5 is as dead as people not liking nice tits.

Sometimes, their tits (3.5) get enhancements (houserules), but that doesn't mean people don't like nice tits.

Though sometimes, the surgeon (DM) botches them pretty bad...
Best metaphor I have seen in a long time.  I give you much fu.
Three Errata for the Mage-kings under the sky,
Seven for the Barbarian-lords in their halls of stone,
Nine for Mortal Monks doomed to die,
One for the Wizard on his dark throne
In the Land of Charop where the Shadows lie.

I don't? Ok, if you say so.

I used to think his presence was strange, since he was impinging on Mag's Mindsight schtick, but Surreal's gone.
I might complain if Mael gets Mindsight though, now that the PC slot for it is open. Wink

It was meant as a minor quip, please forgive me. As a character Cat is a LOT different from Mag, he is, in fact, a simple BSF.

Are we following the item combining rules in MiC, where the "required" magic effects do not incur the x1.5 cost?

If so, assuming I read the recent thought correctly (no time, if no increase), I would like to tack on my present +2 str to the armbands of might before we go charging in.

Ok, I think I found what you mean, then yes, it works like that. Smash one item, put the enchantment on another. Takes all of... whatever a few minutes.
