Welcome !
BP, any interest in the game I linked to ? By the way the DM would apparently be fine with introducing another character.

I'm sorry, getting new players into this game is a pretty big job, so I didn't find the time to give it a look, yet. Now that we're mostly done, I'll be sure to do that next week.

Is there an ooc thread for this game somewhere? The board seems to be only comprised of story threads, I imagine it gets hard keeping track of things if you only have one thread. I've so far only skimmed things. you said I could take over VeQuirre, OR put in a new character? I have to see whether my login still works and talk to the GM.... The rules sound very nice, overall.

OOC from the OCC, but I need to hide this from my Iron Chef competitors... does anyone want to help me stat out a surprise villain? The heroes aren't meant to defeat him, more like try and survive the first encounter. I was thinking a level 14 or 15 gestalt BBEG. It would only be worth 5 points or so in the grand scheme of things, but it might be fun.

I'm not sure what this entails exactly but I could help in 10 days or so (I'm traveling right now).

So I understand the slow nature of this particular PbP, and that's cool. That the pace and lack of momentum hasn't killed this one is a promising sign actually so hopefully the players who have stuck with it this far see it through.
That said, my life has gotten nutty right now and I have to look for a new place to live. Rather than check the boards daily to see if anyone has posted yet, I will set the topics to notify me of replies. Then to be most efficient I can designate some time once or twice a week to come in, read up and post, once I finally get in the action.
Edit: Could I actually get a roll call of which characters are still playing? Finally caught up in the story.

We have currently active (more or less), and in no particular order: Omen of Peace Surreal Snizor Sohala Thistle I'm practically immune to delays . I do think, however, that our desert scene needs another jolt. Which means that SOMEONE has to make a decision where to go from there. Just anywhere, except stand around further. We can basically cut to the next scene then, once we have a direction. Oh, and I am very reluctant for that someone to be me. It's not a train, people, it's more like a dune buggy, it has a steering wheel . It's fast enough to take us somewhere, but that somewhere needs to be predetermined by you guys. What happens when we get there... well, that might be up to me.

Sohala: I'm sorry, I also didn't manage the combat post today, and I only have the enemy sheets on my WORK computer, unfortunately. AND I'll be away from work now until monday. I promise I'll try to get it done, then.

Well Mag bombed his knowledge rolls, has a snout full of perfume, got dissed by a cat, and is cranky after being topside so long. There isn't much he can do at this point other than be snarky.

I think he meant that lags and slow down in the game aren't going to make him leave the game.
