Q 169: Is there any way to change the ability score used in fortitude checks to something else besides constitution? No, Concentration Skill Checks are not an option [DM banned ToB]
A169 be Undead.... Immunity to any effect that requires a Fortitude save (unless the effect also works on objects or is harmless), they Substitute Cha instead of Con for Concentration checks

Exemplar 4 changes it to Charisma. That's all I can come up with.

Who said banning ToB put Concentration checks out of possibility? Heaband of Concious Effort (MIC) is an excellent item for a caster to have and is affordable early on (2,000gp). Sure, it only works once per day, but you can buy multiples and just swap.

I am constantly amazed by how many DM's ban Tomb of Battle. The book doesn't even exist! Quotes: By yes, she means no.

Why would you even do this? It hurts my eyes and looks like you ate your keyboard before suffering an attack of explosive diarrhea. If using Genesis to hide your phylactry, set it at -300 degrees farenheit. See how do-gooders fare with a liquid atmosphere.

That's questionable, because it still uses the same level slot. I would personally say no, but that's just me (remember: the caster level limitation is absolute).

On a strange note, would anyone be put out if we had a post about people or events we can spare a thought for, or if its within their creed, a prayer for? Just a random thought, but ... hells I wouldn't have known about either Archangels daughter or Saeomons niece if I didn't happen to be on these threads.
Sounds fine to me. probably over on "Off-topic". might want to put a little disclaimer in the first post. This is the Min/Max board. We should be able to figure out a way to optimize the POWER OF PRAYER(TM) that doesn't involve "Pazuzu, Pazuzu, Pazuzu". My final project for my film independent study course. It could do with a watching and critiquing

Q179 I recall reading a 3.0 book (the PHB or DMG) that says characters are constantly moving around in their spaces. For example, the typical elf takes a 5'x5'x5' space, but isn't a 5' cube.
Where is this rule in 3.5?
A179? Answer uncertain. Please confirm! I think I found it. Player's Handbook 146 says:
Few characters in a fight stand around motionless. Enemies appear and charge the party. The heroes reply, advancing to take on new foes after they down their first opponents. Wizards remain outside the fight, looking for the best place to use their magic. Rogues quietly skirt the fracas seeking a straggler or an unwary opponent to strike with a sneak attack. Finally, if the fight is lost, most characters seek to remove themselves from the vicinity. Movement is an important element for gaining the upper hand on the battlefield.

Hood - My first answer to all your build questions; past, present, and future. Speaking of which: Don't even need TO for this. Any decent Hood build, especially one with Celerity, one-rounds [Azathoth, the most powerful greater deity from d20 Cthulu]. Does it bug anyone else that we've reached the point where characters who can obliterate a greater deity in one round are considered "decent?"

I assume that refers to dex bonus to AC. Q180Can a mount grapple while they have a rider on their back, and what kind of ride check would that be?

I assume that refers to dex bonus to AC. ... or shield bonus to AC; or whatever situation may be complicated by injecting mechanical effects of directional facing. The goal was to simplify things by removing directional-facing mechanics. As such, they had to develop practical explanations so as to maintain some sort of verisimilitude. Flavor/re-flavor as needed.

If you stop ignoring 289 pages telling what the intent is to stretch "more power" in your own god complexion of your interpretation trumps all to cover ability adjustments from aging then I will ignore a quarter page of rules that exist within a sidebar.
I think in this case the grammar is less important than whether the Str and Dex bonus provided to your created undead scales.

Q180 Can a mount grapple while they have a rider on their back, and what kind of ride check would that be?
A180: I would say that it is an epic endeavor to stay in saddle while your mount is grappling. So perhaps add +20 to the DC in the ride skill description, i.e., DC25 to stay in saddle, DC30 to fight with warhorse, etc. Of course, this would be a house rule.

I would have thought it would depend on the size ratio... a great wyrm dragon grappling a halfling isn't going to be much harder to ride for example... it could probably just fly off with the halfling at that point though. Possibly add the opposed creatures grapple bonus - your mounts grapple bonus to the DC (min 0)

Q.181MULTITASKING [MONSTROUS] You can perform different tasks with different limbs. Prerequisite: Dex 15, Int 15, four or more arms, Improved Multiweapon Fighting, Multiattack, Multiweapon Fighting. Benefit: If you have four or more arms, you can use each pair of arms to perform a distinct partial action. All such partial actions occur simultaneously. Thus, you could attack with one or two arms while using a magic item, reloading a crossbow, or casting a spell with two other arms. Am i misinterpretating this feat or you could get up to 4+ standard actions with it?

There are likely limits on spellcasting/manifesting due to mental & verbal limits of simultaneous actions.

But, for example, a Thri-kreen with that feat could feasibly open a door, attack with a weapon, and reload a crossbow simultaneously.

I think you specifically need to be multiheaded and take the multivoice feat to be able to cast multiple spells per round. The first is a template, and the second a feat. They're both from Savage Species.
