Q9: Can someone help me calculate the CL on this master spellthief build, with a nice, detailed explanation of why it works? I need to convince a DM. bard1/wizard1/spellthief1/mindbender1/ur-priest1/Tainted Scholar3/UM2/SC1/UM+3/MT8/TS+3/Fatespinner4/epic UM11 lets see here, assuming that UM and fatespinner and tainted scholar and MT always max out SC, and the leftover UM maxes wizard... total UM levels: 16 assuming the epic progression of UM is the same as the original, with a gap every 1/4/7/10/13/16 level with an additional +1 all CL. spells known levels: base caster level UM modified CLs bard 1 33 39 wizard1+10+1+3=15 33 39 SC:1+16+8+3+4=32 1+32=33 39 ur-priest: 1+8=9 9+* 9+* spellthief: 0 0 0
total casterlevel: arcane: 109 (don't forget, you add the level of spelltheif in) ur-priest: 9+*
note: ur-priest's CL is equal to base+ half levels in other spellcasting classes. the interpretation is either half of (all casting and casting progressing classes other than urpriest) or (half of other casting classes spells known levels) or just (half of actual class levels in classes that grant spellcasting). the adder is thus either +2CL(half of actual spellcasting granting class levels), +9 CL(half of all other levels), or +24(half of spells known). EDIT: also, your entry into mindbender is illegal. master spellthief requires 2nd level spells.

Ur-priest 9 (1 level, plus 8 advancement from MT) + 1/2 of 104. 61 is your ur-priest caster level now (9+52).
I don't think so. Ur Priest is base + half levels in spellcasting classes. Implying actual progressions, not caster levels.

Nice, Carnivore.
By the way, I have a copy of the transcript of The Holy Grail that is autographed by... I think Eric Idle... I'd have to look again to see which one of them for sure. A friend gave it to me. I don't know where he got it. Maybe in the cave of Caerbannog?

A gygaxian dungeon is like the world's most messed up game show.
Behind door number one: INSTANT DEATH! Behind door number 2: A magic crown! Behind door number 3: 4d6 giant bees, and THREE HUNDRED POUNDS OF HONEY! They don't/haven't, was the point. 3.5 is as dead as people not liking nice tits.
Sometimes, their tits (3.5) get enhancements (houserules), but that doesn't mean people don't like nice tits.
Though sometimes, the surgeon (DM) botches them pretty bad...
Best metaphor I have seen in a long time. I give you much fu. Three Errata for the Mage-kings under the sky, Seven for the Barbarian-lords in their halls of stone, Nine for Mortal Monks doomed to die, One for the Wizard on his dark throne In the Land of Charop where the Shadows lie.

Q11: Is there anyway for a Paladin to get a much faster spell Progression? (Like 2nd level spells by 4th or 5th instead of 8th)
It's for a Gestalt Sorcerer / Geomancer // Mystic Fire Knight Paladin (Yay battle blessing on every Sorc spell!)

Be an Illumian and Heighten some of those 1st level spells for free, resulting in 2nd level spells?

Q 12 Is there a paladin progression with spells much like that of the mystic ranger's (ie full spell progression)?
Q 13 Need help with Collegiate Wizard progression again. 15th level wizard with 17 INT until 8th level when he puts the +1 into INT for 18. The INT's only important for the first level, or first levels right? After that it's just double each level?

A12: None that I know of. A13: Int will not matter at higher levels, it is only important at first level. So yes it would be 4 spells per level.

Cleric / Prestige Paladin also works.
Not for the Mystic Fire Knight, which is rather important as to have a nice, high CL to avoid dispelling (Probably gonna go Warforged as well for Spellcarved Soldier)

I'm pretty sure there isn't one. In fact, don't SCM builds sometimes use cost reducers on their Shadow Illusions?

Can you be more specific? What HD / CR / ECL are you looking at? I'm sure there are Epic monsters with huge CHA. For its ECL, Succubus is pretty dang high. Or A Human Ghost with Evolved Template like 40 times is insanely high as well. So more parameters of what you're looking for would be helpful.
