I also do appreciate the homage they pay to classic Shonen. In a 'serious' show with complex abilities and plotlines, the main character's main tactic is still Overkill.
Did someone say homage? You have no idea. Yeah, I was going to add some Goldion Hammer/Goldion Crusher stuff later. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G44D4QiUANYhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QC28aMN_WTkEDIT: Oh, and Zest from StrikerS is a Zengar Zombolt clone. Lutecia is Rider from Fate/stay Night, and Agito is Etna from Disgaea.

Prime32 is our local mecha anime expert.
Well, a lot of it is Super Robot Wars. Side-note: Apart from Signum having the same VA as Lamia Loveless, and Caro having the same VA as Kusuha Mizuha... Erio is Yoko from TTGL Nanoha's brother played Heero Yuy/Masaki Ando (the guy loves SRW so much he does extra lines for free in exchange for beta copies), but this is sheer coincidence since he had the same voice when he was the main character. He also played Zelgadis Greywords - his rivals in SRW, Gundam Wing, and Slayers are played by the same guy. The mysterious masked man played Guy Shishioh/Link/Ikkaku Madarame/ViralThere are brief hints of romance between Teana and the helicopter pilot at the end of StikerS. In the show which replaced StrikerS in its time slot, CLANNAD, the same VAs play a couple. Also, I have a thread in which I stat things.

When I heard Nagi's voice in the Negima anime, I was half-expecting Hikaru Midorikawa to voice Fate Avernucus(sp?) (the other half was expecting the voice of Ribbons Almark). Instead, it was Kaworu from Evangelion. A guy at GitP who had been calling Fate "chibi-Kaworu" since his first appearance gave a whoop of joy.

I've considered making a thread for statting Umineko, but as I've only watched the anime, I'd probably miss some games-only stuff (including everything from EP 5-8)

From what I've heard about Bleach, is that supposed to be Gratuitous Spanish? Because it isn't Spanish. At best, it's French. I could see it passing as Catalan, though (god, that language is frustrating).

From what I've heard about Bleach, is that supposed to be Gratuitous Spanish? Because it isn't Spanish. The place is called "Las Noches" ("The Nights"), which is the palace in Hueco Mundo... alright, that isn't a perfect translation of "Empty/Hollow World", but it sounds cooler than "Mundo Hueco".
