I used the word "choose" and right now, Savorel hasn't exactly chosen anything about who she's around - she's been ordered, and doesn't feel like rebelling. Plus, I plan on having her evolve a bit as the campaign progresses . . . and I hope it'll be a while before Bartholomeow is eating worlds. Otherwise, I think we're in trouble. Tongue

By the way, I just remembered I can give Flay a flaming weapon any time he wants, so long as he's got a weapon. It just won't deal fire damage. I think you just wanted the look though, right? Well, looks like my continual flame SLA just became your new best friend. Big Grin

You know, I know the voice isn't actually under jojo's control, otherwise, I'd totally be okay with the barbarian beating the shit out of him.

I suppose that, as a samurai trying to be a sheriff, I kinda should try and stop him.

Also, would my demoralize carry over (assuming it affected him), or would it be best to try it again? This is actually my first intimidate build...

I know the feeling... Though I'll probably be home at 04:30 tomorrow (gotta work a night club shift today)I guess I could show up and join in since I seem to be ahead of most people. I can't guarantee that I will spot obvious errors in my spelling and grammar at that time...

Fights do seem to slow things down, so in future how would you like me to handle initiative?

I find the everyone says what they'll do (with some contingency). Dm runs actions in initiative order. Repeat.

I'm running a PbP for the first time, and Veekie suggested that I (the DM) roll all "passive" rolls for the players.  This includes initiative, saves, and any skills like Spot or something that might be used reflexively.

It basically saves you from waiting for a response from everyone.  So, for example: a fight might start with you making Spot and Listen checks for everyone to see who's surprised (if applicable) and with you rolling Initiative.  Then, when you first announce the fight, you can list who is and isn't surprised, and what order everyone acts in, all in one post with no waiting time.

Seems I wont be needed right now as I stay out of the fight, for now at least. I'll use this time to get some well earned sleep (it is 4 am at the moment). Good night, people
