It would probably be easier if a lot of these guys were Gestalt'd, at least partially.

In all seriousness, Arakune's definitely an ooze. I don't know the first thing about optimizing them though.

There are a few PrCs which turn you into oozes and swarms, right? At least one is in the BoVD, then there's stuff like Thrall of Jubilex from Dragon.

I'm thinking psychic warrior for Ragna, maybe some Tome material like Boneblade Reaper or Death Knight, or giving him access to the Death and/or Voracity Spheres (levels in a Fiend class seem rather appropriate).

He definitely needs something with puny HP, soul-sucking and ridiculous speed.

Best match I can think of for Blood Kain is frenzied berserker, but that seems too powerful and too long. Any "vicious surge" weapons or spells out there? EDIT: Or hellfire warlock maybe, without binding Naberius. He definitely needs something with puny HP, soul-sucking and ridiculous speed. True Fiend 8/Rogue 11/Death Knight 1? Using the variant which trades sneak attack for bonus feats.

Hellfire warlock doesn't really cut it, unless we rule it to apply to Eldritch Glaive only, or something like that. He doesn't actually get weaker from using dark flame powers, he just doesn't have that much HP to begin with, and only gets to absorb some with a particular brand that tends to leave him open.

There's a spell in PH2 that acts like Rage, but deals Fire damage to you every round it is active. Also, a piece of a Magic Item set has a similar effect. Those may be a bit more fitting for Blood Kain (coupled with Crusader, he'll be healing a little and taking a little).

That works, though Crusader probably gives him too much HP, unless we're talking about dips here.

If he has only one move which heals him (but it heals him quite a bit) then maybe some levels in warblade with Martial Study to pick up a Devoted Spirit manouver.

A Flaw does the same thing. Both of them on a Duskblade or similar medium HD class (with a decent Con score so it can actually do stuff without being gutted in one turn) would be an accurate representation.

Still too much HP. Ragna is made of fucking glass. No he's not.... Carl and Nu/Lambda are much weaker Except the fact that everyone is made of glass against Tager....... and I think we needed to find a way to make Raggy take damage while using a Vampiric Torc (MIC) for Blood Kain.... and Carnage Scissors might be an Ubercharge done by using the same torc gain.... And he possesses IUS and Snap Kick as well
