Is there a way to optimize a PC using an Amulet of Ooze Riding from Arms and Equipment? It basically allows you to squirm your way into an ooze by forming a force bubble around you. You steer the ooze by banging on the walls of the force bubble to make it think it hears food in that direction. I love the flavor but I like wringing out every bit that I can out of a flavor idea.
The first idea that pops to mind is an ooze master.

And I assume taking levels of hearer of the hidden sound or speaker of the hidden sound... whatever the class is called that has a capstone of "any spell, ninth level or lower, 1/day, spell-like".

FUCK that's cool How do you get a Living Harm that lasts forever? Getting a Mistling with 9th level spells is hard, as they're a +6 LA. This can JUST get 9ths with Ur Priest but that's all your levels. @TML, Dragon 297; did you know it's 9/10 spellcasting? Text disagrees with table. Requires 5th level spells and 8 ranks in a skill to enter. Misting 6/Wizard/Hidden Sound 10... even with early enter you can't get the capstone before ECL 20, let alone the 18 required for cohorting it. |

I'll look into that prestige class TML, do you have to be able to cast the spell or is it "any 9th or lower"? harm is a 6th level spell, is it not? mass harm is 9th. |

Note that it's set at full-round casting time, so... break out those hour casting time spells.

If you're using Tome you could apply an undead template to your ooze then go Bone Rider. The undead mount has an Intelligence of 10 if it would normally be less than that (including creatures which usually have an Intelligence of "-"). The Bone Rider is immune to any harmful effects of touching or being within the presence of her mount. The question is whether you can actually do anything while inside your pet blob, since it blocks LoE. You could argue that this is a "harmful effect of touching or being in the presence of the mount", so Bone Rider might get a pass. |
