Ok. One more thing that I just considered:

You said that spellcasting is considered 1 class feature, which is why you have an issue with dual caster progression without a third caster thing thrown in. If that is the case, would:

1. the casting be triggered off only one stat for, say, in the case of a Druid//Sorcerer?
2. again in the case of the Druid//Sorcerer, does that mean the guy can cast in armour with no problems (well, barring Druid swearings)?

While the spells are one feature, they still follow the normal rules for their types and sources. Arcane+Cha for Sorcerer, Divine+Wis for Druid.

DnD classes is kind of like art. You make lots of stuff that everyone loves but aint no fun to play. This one is like getting a nude pic of Britney Spears when she was hot above your bed.  Anyone can appreciate it. Technically, it is still after my lunchbreak. My boss was irratated with me after I took it, so I didn't have the option (he was looking over my shoulder the entire time).

AndyJames... don't you need a partner for Faerie Mysteries Initiate? Aka someone who also has the feat?

FYI, I just dumped 2 more FP into Dex. I'm going to go by the theory that if I can hit like a truck (when flanking) and hit reliably enough all the while being able to dodge just about everything (especially with a touch AC equal to my normal AC), I'll be fine and never have to worry about spending FP. Then again, if something doesn't require a to hit, I'm screwed, aside from mental effects, which is a crapshoot.

I still lol at having 28 Dex at lv 3.

I didn't think so... I thought it is just one of those you can do together if you want things. However, there is always the familiar...

Hmm, I'm just going to put it out there: Faerie Mysteries Initiate, for the Int mod for HP, is applied by having intercourse once with another Faerie Mysteries Initiate user. So I really hope I misunderstood you when you mentioned the familiar... .__.

*Once* with another. Doesn't have to be the one I bring along on an adventure...! Or I hope I read that right. I am just using Crystal Keep, so I could be very wrong...

Still, though, a bit of masking tape does wonders Smirk

*taking this to the mature forums...*

Heh, fair enough. Now excuse me while I afk for a sec.

But yeah, I've dumped the same stats. You could get by with just spending a truckload of FP in terms of HP.

So, Andy, this mean you're considering going Druid//Sorcerer more now?  Or divine//sorcerer anyway.

Druid Sorcerer? What gave you that impression? You mean the... *animal companion*? Big Grin

I thought you only get a few FP your entire career (i.e., once spent, it is gone for good)? So, it would depend on how many I get. I don't think I will be getting a truckload with my builds, unless maybe if I play the Dragonheart Mage build...

Something like that.

Oh, and as for fate points, this is from the first post.

"*Fate Points: In a similar means to Action Points, Fate Points are a way for you as the player to change the outcome of events. Unlike actions points, however, fate points are extremely rare. No feats exist to give you more of them, and you can only gain new points by sheer heroics. Each character starts with a single d3 of these points, modified by class. Some classes will have more, some will have less. At any time during the campaign, you may spend a single point to prevent something from killing you outright. Your FP will change fate itself (Read: Storyline changes) to keep your character alive. Alternatively, you may spend one FP to increase your HP by 1/4 permanently, and to give you a +2 bonus to any ability score. The HP increase is cumulative, each level you gain another 25% increase to the HD you just rolled. 1d8+Con bestows 1d8+Con+25% of the total of that die. This option may only be taken during character creation/level ups."

So you can get more later, maybe.

Major villians count as heroics. If the Yafutoma group beats Zanzriu, for example, they get FP awards in addition to GP and XP.

A character who solos Grendel or Recumen? Instant-Godhood.

So, JaronK, d_s, and dman, do you guys agree that it would be best for me to go secondary caster instead of my raging fists of fury tank?

Hahahahaha!

Was mucking about last night for UB's anything goes campaign, and this had to make me

Phrenic Desert Kobold
Loredrake sub
(Warmage//Sorcerer) 1
Feats: Dragonwrought, Versatile Spellcaster, Faerie Mysteries Initiate
Dex 18, Int 22, Cha 24 (others insignificant)

So, at level 1, you cast as level 3, which gives you 5 level 1 spells as base. You turn that into 1 level 3 slot. Here's the fun bit: Warmages get everything known automatically. That means you can cast 3rd level spells without Heighten Spell. 3d6 Fireball

What is third level spells good for, you say, when you only have one and then nothing?

Rainbow Servant
Ruathar

Yep. Qualify for PrCs by level 1. Fun, eh?

So, (Warmage//Sorcerer) 1/Rainbow Servant 10/Contemplative (until you get the domain)/Dweomerkeeper x.

By level 9, this will get truly fugly.

Contemplative grants a domain at level 1.
How are you casting divine spells for Dweomerkeeper?
And why are you passing up Circle Magic?

Passing up Circle Magic? That is a feat?

Rainbow Servant 10 puts all Cleric spells on your spell-list. Warmage gets everything on its spell-list. Anything that isn't on the original spell list is cast as Divine spells.

OK.
Circle Magic is a class ability of Ruathar. Then again, (Su) Miracles are always fun, so Dweomerkeeper probably works. As long as you can keep yourself alive for a couple of levels, that is...
