Ideas include . . .
Totemist/Crusader DFA/Sorcerer DFA/Crusader (this one's made of awesome and win . . .) Ranger/Scout (yay for Swift Hunter!) Rogue/Scout (yay for Swift Ambusher!) Rogue/Swashbuckler (yay for Daring Outlaw!) Factotum/Warblade (fun with Int-based ninja-riffic action!) Feat Rogue/Fighter (haven't you ever wanted to see someone with ASSLOADS of feats?) Feat Rogue/Warblade (wow . . . awesome . . . skills + ass-kicking . . .)

Played that at lvl 5 in a oneshot... basically killed everything by myself certainly a good option I also like the dragonfire adept And a combo like Warblade/Wizard

About retraining: if I were, say, to use the shapeshift variant, would I be able to retrain back to wild shape & animal companion at level 5?

I could either use Speaker or try out a new concept. Thanks Smudgyhandsman for the link (I hadn't looked at the Inspiration Strikes subforum til then), I love the idea of a Chronomancer Gish (Insert some diamond mind and eternal blade for thematic goodness). That said, I think some Slices would deserve to cause saves.

I leave for the night, and this is what I come back to. Good lord, give me a little time to sift through everything. Expect massive multiposting in the near future.

Do you still run some of the gleemax boards games ? If so, you are amazing. In any case, I felt bad about the one I was playing in dying, and would like to join one with the active guys from around here if you accept I'm definitely trying to. But Faelmax is giving me the Database error page every other time I click on a thread or try to reply to something. It takes 15 reloads to get it to work properly, and when it finally does I risk double, triple, or even omin-posting. All we need is the vacuum salesman again... Sure, I guess I can restart most of them. Mid-Ocean and Lands of Ice are on Gleemax though, and both are still active (somewhat).

I have to say I'm tempted. I always liked the idea of a Totemist/Rogue with a lot of natural weapons.
Could we start with one LA bought off, or would that happen at the next level?
That would happen next level.

I'm interested, but I know little of the setting, looks fascinating though. What are you going to use to pick the players, backstory, builds or Luck feats? Well, from the sheer number of replies in the past day alone, I'd say I can repost most of the settings here (and alter the storylines of each to give it that new car smell). As to which game gets which players, it will be based on backstory/player preference. Max of 6 characters per setting (games with the full load can't have pets/leadership).

<3 <3 <3 <3 I totally have to get in on this. I'm replaying through SoA right now. Are you planning on running multiple games (each under a different moon) like you did over on those other boards? Hrm... Yafutoma, eh... Yes. It seems like I may have to. 4 settings to choose from, each with their own storylines.

MEEEEE!
ME ME ME ME MEEEE!
Wow. Just . . . wow. Mixed with awesome and win.
It took a few days to get all of the info compiled on each of the settings, as I had to run through the actual game itself while referencing the internet for character info. But I even got the names of all 6 Gigas down (including Rhanknam's actual name). Feel free to sign up.

Looper And yeah, it takes a while... On topic: Sinfire, how does the 4e-ish healing rule work with fast healing or regen? does that mean when knocked unconscious and at -40, fast healing 1 puts you at 1HP the next round? If so, I shall be mortally afraid of trolls. Fast Healing doesn't function at 0 or lower by RAW. Regen does, but all it does is stabilize you and prevent you from ding (in order to regain consciousness you need the 20, or until the normal rules for regaining consciousness kicks in). I should mention this now, effects like Diehard don't cause you to lose HP or actions when in the negatives. Think of it like the Rage Claws soulmeld (you act normally, even when disabled or dying). I've been using this ever since I did it with Eisin and have to say that a Totemist/Crusader with the Rage Claws up is next to unkillable if you rely on anything less than a Charger build.

I was thinking of playing a monk// Echocaller. Or maybe Cleric//Echocaller. I'm liking the wisdom synergy, it matches up nice with Zen Archery. Will you allow me to be one? Strat would probably appreciate having me test one out. Let me read through it. See if I need to change anything.

oh come on, I was just making an exam and suddenly everyone applies!!! I want in too! Still wanting to play the Marshall from Frank Trollman's Tome with some other charisma based class. There's still room. We've got about 9 people active (unless Ubernoob shows up, in which case the games will be filled before I can refresh the damn page).

Yes, but I'd dock you a FP for doing so. Shapeshift Druid has more FP than normal Druid due to it being less effective. And if you blew all of your FP on HP and stat bonuses, then I'd take it out of your stats directly.

Not really related to this game but I'm laughing at the idea of a character that is a Draconic Magic Blooded Unseelie Lesser Aasimar. Why? Because that family has to be sooo messed up.

That would happen next level.
On second thoughts, the build is so feat-intensive I can't realistically try it with anything other than a Human or Azurin. Now, do I want Landshark Boots/Phase Cloak with Battle Jump, Girallon Arms/Sphinx Claws with Multiattack, or Threefold Mask/Worg Pelt with Improved Trip? They all get four attacks on a full attack at level 5+, but one needs high Jump and Leap of the Heavens, one just mauls people, but has low AB/damage, and one trips the opponent, but loses an attack if it doesn't. Before I get too involved, am I going to be sidelined for fitting in the wrong nation/moon?
