Umm. Not Ruathar. Ruathar is a 3level PrC from Races of the Wild.
I think you are thinking Hathran, which has a pre-req of Leadership + Ethran + female from Rasheman. It would be problematic in this campaign.

A character who solos Grendel or Recumen? Instant-Godhood.
Would a character with 1500(-ish) hit points be able to survive one of them? :couch

Good point. If I were to make such a character, I can assure that his Fort would be through the roof, and I'm not sure at all about the other two saves, but as it's gestalt, I'd say they would at least be decent (as in good saves from classes, but I'm not sure how much of a boost they'd be getting from ability scores or items). Of course, actually making such a character would likely be boring. It would be able to dish out fairly decent damage and tank like a champ, but probably do little else.

Well, that's why I was asking. I don't even know if these things throw out Dominates and the like or not. I've never even seen one of these things (never played the game).

If they are, then no way in hell. Well, that's why I was asking. I don't even know if these things throw out Dominates and the like or not. Each one is based on a different ability score. In order: Grendel (Strength) Bluhiem (Dexterity) Plergoth (Constitution) Zelos (Intelligence) Recumen (Wisdom) Yeligar (Charisma) The abilities they have also work well with those scores (Recumen, for example, has limited Divine spellcasting, while Grendel is more of a Hulking Hurler).

YELIGAR! YELIGAR!
Yeligar was a man I mean, he was a dragon man Or maybe he was just a dragon
But he was still YELIGAR! YELIGAR!
Burninating the countryside, Burninating the peasants Burninating all the peoples And their thatched-roof COTTAGES!
THATCHED-ROOF COTTAGES!
(Woah, this has wicked dueling guitar solos! It's like, Squeedly versus Meedley over here. Go Squeedly! Go Squeedly! SQUEEDLY WINS!)
When all the land is in ruin, And burnination has forsaken the countryside, Only one guy will remain.
My money's on YELIGAR! YELIGAR!
And the Yeligar comes in the NIIIGHT...
He sings it himself...

If Yeligar is a bard, I will find you and smack you Nope. He's dangerous as hell though. Creepy looking too. I have good pics of Grendel, Bluhiem, and Zelos, but Recumen and Plergoth are very poor-quality (seriously). Not too many good shots of those two.

Yeah. I know. I partly based my selection on the Gigas. Yelligar is a beast. Which is why he can't be a bard

I'd tell you, but I can't access the sheet. You didn't make it public.
Sorry, fixed. (I hope!) Also, sorry for the delay. In a hotel room, and they charge for net access in the rooms. They've got a computer with free internet in the lobby, but that's subject to no one being on one of the two computers. I will have non-restricted access Saturday afternoon when I move into my dorm.

So, JaronK, d_s, and dman, do you guys agree that it would be best for me to go secondary caster instead of my raging fists of fury tank?
Yeah, I think I have melee combat down.....maybe. I don't do all that much damage by myself, I need my tentacle to do damage, as they have a str score equal to my wis score. And wis is my main stat, and might be the only primary stat.

And wis is my main stat, and might be the only primary stat. Str and Con would be my tanks main stats, with con to AC twice as well as wis to AC, unarmed strikes as two-handed weapons and power attacking. So I'd have damage down, but no uber-charger tricks. Then again, spells can do damage and much more, and I don't know what I'd gestalt Blue Mage with.

You know that in order to use your US as a THW it takes a standard action, right? Also: yeah, I'm familiar with dwarven monks. They rock. I'm trying to make Spring Attack viable by using them in ocnjunction with that feat, Hammer Fist. It's not working out so far.

Doesn't take a standard action. Just says both hands have to be empty and can't use flurry of blows at the same time.

It does say on Realms Help "You may make a single unarmed attack..."
What's the wording in the book?
