Hmmm, SiFi, what do you think of Stratovarius' Chronomancer found here? While I've allowed the Echocaller, I have disallowed the Chronamncer. Its a ways back, but I gave a solid reason for not allowing it. When you set your thread viewing options to 30 posts/page, it shows up around page 12, or 21 (can't remember which).

Odin, Feral Shifter Feral Shifter. "Can I drown the dead rat now?" Loke, Dread Magnate "Me all good and nice. Ask any questions and I`ll kill you twice." DnD classes is kind of like art. You make lots of stuff that everyone loves but aint no fun to play. This one is like getting a nude pic of Britney Spears when she was hot above your bed. Anyone can appreciate it. And it works as it should in practise, not just in theory. -Me to Strato regarding his Elemental

Odds point to some time after my lunch break. Which will be within the next 20 minutes. Those who haven't, post your sheets in the Character Sheet thread so I can get them in one easily searched location.

Alternatively, you may spend one FP to increase your HP by 1/4 permanently, and to give you a +2 bonus to any ability score. The HP increase is cumulative, each level you gain another 25% increase to the HD you just rolled. 1d8+Con bestows 1d8+Con+25% of the total of that die. This option may only be taken during character creation/level ups. Does this mean spending the FP at creation gives you either +1/4 HP or a +2 bonus, or both? That "and" is a bit befuddling.

And in a sentence usually means "In addition to". If I had wanted you to get one or the other, I would have put an "or" where the "and" is. FP gives both benefits. And I just remembered I gave none of the new players FP modifiers...

Sorry, just had to make sure. I don't want to screw up just because I'm a moron, haha. --Update-- Ok, so at this point since phaenix is leaving the changeling egoist stuff, I figured I can happily settle with a Changeling Rogue/Beguiler, using the Changeling Rogue sub levels. This way, I keep trapfinding without it doubling up, and I get some nifty social benefits. Plus, the skill points! Oh god, the skill points!

Its a shame you don't get the combined skill points when using Gestalt. That would make Item Familiar+Truenamer Gestalt happy.

Sinfire: Which would be an appropriate power level for the LoI campaign?
Fun build or Power build?
Fun: Druid//Sorcerer / Dragonheart Mage
Power: Druid//Sorcerer / caster 1/MT4/AH10/MT+2

The triple-threat would save your ass better in the later levels. The first one would be a bit on the dead side of the fight, to put it bluntly. Endure Elements alone won't save you from the Lands of Ice.

Immune/Resist Cold will at least get rid of the best part of the environmental hazards But yes, I know. It is a Fun build, not a Power one. I'll go with the Power Build then. I'll try to get the Mythweaver thing working and post a build ASAP. Just a thought, though: Paladin//Ranger 5 / Beastmaster 1/Halfling Outrider 10/Bloodlines 3/something 1 would be a pretty nasty Supermount build in your case. Question: What deities are there in SoA? Reason for asking is Sorcerer//Cloistered Cleric 5 / Dweomerkeeper 10...

Ooh! Super mount equals insane sled pulling capacity! Back when we almost started then Gleemin collapsed, there were suggestions for sled animals. They included Dire Penguin, Wolly Mammoth, lots of stuff.

In a campaign entitled *Skies* of Arcadia, I think a Gold Dragon mount with 40+ HD is better Speaking of which: Half-Celestial, LA +2 version, BoED. Now that is kick-ass...!

Note that this was planning for starting which was only on ice.
btw: the universe hates me more than I thought. My monitor blew. Yeah.
EDIT: And today, the day I was going to get an external drive to back up my data. Yeah.

I think if I brought a Dweomerkeeper, Incantatrix or Supermount build to the table, or use the LA +2 Half-Celestial template, Sinfire will shoot me... Mind you, the template would solve all my potential problems (24/7 flight + cold resist).

Seconded. What are the deities? I wondered this when tinkering with the beguiler/cleric, but I'd still like to know. Also, I should have my char sheet up soon. Will update then.

Here is the basic outline for my character that I've put up so far. Still need to pick items/flaws, write up my backstory, and find out how many FP I get.

SiFi, got a couple more homebrew classes that I'd like your verdict on as possibilities. First is the Blue Mage, second is the Spellfire Warrior

SiFir, I'm carrying over my character. Do I have to wait until the next level until I can spend my FP ('cause I'll just stick with 2 - it seems safe enough that way), or can I go ahead and use one more (seeing as the game's doing a soft reset of sorts)?

Ok, it took me forever, but I've finished my Beguiler/Rogue. I'm wondering where exactly he'll fit in with the part the way it is, but I'm sure he'll find his niche. Here's the link: Puck, CN Changeling Beguiler//Rogue 3I decided to go with the FP-spending at character creation, though I only know I've got 1 at the very least to spend or I might have used another. Also, I found a Dragon Magazine flaw to add in. I saw Zephier used a couple, so I figured it would be ok. I've got a backup or two in mind, so if I have to change it, no biggie. I guess I'll have to see later, and possibly alter it, but for now it's pretty good. Heck, if I get some free time I might draw him, too. \o/ Also, I decided I wanted a familiar, mostly for RP reasons (and because I've never really had one, come to think of it!). I've picked a Raven, though I'm on the fence right now. Having a talking bird is cool and could be fun for RPing, but something like Hawk/Owl might be better mechanically.
