I think Mid-Ocean has died (or is on the verge of doing so). Perhaps it would be possible to open it up for recruitment? IIRC we still have: Cloistered Cleric//SWVRanger --> Buffing Bowman and Party Healer (in a pinch) SWVRanger//Incarnate/Targeteer --> Dual-wielding pistols that I'm actually not very sure about when it comes to specifics Warblade//Swordsage --> Wrecking crew when it comes to short range, and with 60+ HP at level 3... one meaty tank Fighter//Monk/Rogue --> My suboptimal character with a little Ascetic Rogue to spruce it up (and a sacrifice in all armor and shields from Fighter for extra feats). Yes, I like the base classes. Although, both Kane and Peregrine haven't posted for the current turn (which has lasted for a month starting tomorrow), so I'm unsure as to where this may head. Still up to the other members of the party as to whether or not we open up Mid-Ocean, but I for one am tired of the waiting. I'd love it if PbP was more reliable than a monthly lottery. Two years ago, you always had people at Terisia. Then Gleemax came along and fucked everything in the ass with a cactus. I agree with reopening Mid-Ocean, though new characters are going to be a little...awkward to introduce. Though I do hope we can pick up where we left off.

The zombies de-animate, then revive as new PCs! o__o!
Hmm, I'll talk to the players for Peregrine and Leon since I know them in real life. Hopefully this time around we can stay true to the 6 posts a week expectation.
And I was never familiar with the history of PbP. Looks like it's been rough.

So I have been thinking long and hard about this and I can't make a decision, so I will let my team mates Influence my decision. Psitificer or Artificer//Psion or Wizard respectively, or I suppose you can mix them at will, both will be 20 though, PrC for that combo will be hard to come by.

I'd say go with Psion, but that's mostly because of the mechanical interaction with my character.

I'll say this: You're better off with the two different power sources. Artificer//Psion is more flexible than Artificer//Wizard, and Psitificer//Psion is much more restricted than Psitificer//Wizard.

OK, so I'll go Artificer//Psion 20, unless any of you can think of a good PrC

*Reads PM* And so the adventure begins (in Yafutoma)! NIce this wedding...
Is there a common secret language within the party? Auran, Terran, Ignan, Desmodu? You name it I'll have it.
@Sinfire I assume there will be individual threads on every campaign with OOC chatter and an actual cmapaign thread? I will post comments as soon as these are up

I will have my character done by tomorrow, I would do it now, but I'm not sure how well 43 hours of being awake and Building this kind of Character go together
Edit: Do you guys have any preference on the path I chose? I'm thinking Telepath. Edit2:Also, any other meta-magic any of you guys want me to grab, side Persist? Because I'm gonna be Uber-short on feats.

I took Terran, seems like a good enough party language. I could switch it though if anyone wants something more obscure.

Perhaps I'm just being daft and/or lazy, but I can't track down class/role outlines for everyone in Valua. A quick synopsis if anyone doesn't mind? Especially, do we have a healer? And would switching to a CG Paladin of Freedom base be better all around, or should I stick to a CE Paladin of Slaughter and have some fun? Going CG would require me to fall to go into blackguard, so unless it's going to be a problem I'd rather avoid it. Either way, I should be done (short of some fine points that rests on answers to said questions, including back story), by tonight with a sheet and overview ready to post. And I had planned to take Terran in Valua, since Dromites, traditionally, live in underground cities and have contact with elemental type that speak it, and I was under the impression these floating islands were large enough to support that type of thing. I can pick something else up if not though.

Daz Reefcrush is a Hobgoblin Paladin/Marshal. She's currently a Gunner in the Valuan Armada, working her way up. I have some minor healing via lay on hands.

Edit: Do you guys have any preference on the path I chose? I'm thinking Telepath.
Isn't Telepath is redundant with Society Mind? (It might not be though flavor-wise it seems like it would be). Kineticist is redundant with Warmage. So Seer, Shaper, Egoist and Nomad. Shaper is good for extra troops(yeah astral constructs!) and Egoist is good since I think Society Mind lets you buff any/everyone with your normally personal buffs. Nomad/Seer are each half of the Scry & Die combo, but Nomad doesn't offer much at this level. Seer is great for reconaisance, but the question is does it beat the other options?

Ah, I was not even thing about shaper, that will work well with my Warforgedism. Any other thoughts on the subject from the other party members?

Clairvoyant Sense is pure awesome: as soon as you spot a ship you get to check out everybody who's on it... Shapers are definitely stronger, but in gestalt with Artificer anything can work.

Duly noted, I have always wanted to play a Scry-er, but have never had the chance. I think that will go better with my back story anyways, Thanks. Still need to know if any one wants any Meta magic feats side from Persist.

CE Unseelie Draconic Magic-Blooded Fire Cast Dromite Rebalanced (Un)Holy Warrior* Paladin of Slaughter/Feat Rogue 1, Battle Dancer 1, Paladin/Rogue 2-4, Pyro 1, Lasher 1, Black Guard 2, Lasher 2-3, Pyro 2-10. *Holy Warrior - Complete Champion Do we have someone able to do healing? Otherwise I'll likely take Tomb-Tainted Soul to give myself a little boost. The Flaws are Metal Intolerance, good one for a fey, I thought, and Hot-Blooded, because even though she's (no gender on Dromites, but fancies she should become a Grand Queen, thankyouverymuch) not from the desert, goes so nicely with being Fire Caste. The only problem is, that Fire Lash is still a ranged attack, not a melee attack like whips got updated to in 3.5. If this could be changed, things would be much smoother, and I'd have a reason not to go the 'ranged save or die every round' route with the pyromancer... If it was a normal melee attack, and not even a melee touch, (it was ranged touch vs ranged in 3.0 and is still ranged touch in 3.5), I'd be happy. As is, I can technically smite with my normal whips, but not the one I'm taking class levels to get. Though, I could Power Attack, since any feats I could use with the whip I can use with the Lash. Would this extend to special properties from items and such? The Sage's answer in the FAQ seems to suggest so, saying you should get your Str bonus to damage as well. Also, for Unseelie I rolled on wings and got a 70 for bird wings and vision and got a 5 for standard for low-light, though draconic gives her darkvision anyway. Elima GyalechBasic layout right now.

Persistent should be fine. I've already got clairvoyant sense covered at the moment, but if people think we need a healer-type, I'd be willing to swap Ardent for Cleric or Druid.
