There was discussion in the anime thread on variations of Fate/stay night's Holy Grail War (where "Heroic Spirits" from throughout history are summoned into one of seven classes and must fight each other) with different characters. For instance, the power plagiarism set: Archer: Megaman Assassin: Kakashi Hatake (Naruto) Berserker: Samus Aran (Metroid Prime 3) Caster: Sakura Kinomoto (Card Captor Sakura) Lancer: ? Rider: Kamen Rider Decade Saber: Inferno (Soul Calibur) For those of you who don't know what Fate/stay night is, just think of this as The Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny, but with stat-sheets. Please continue.

Welp, might as well drop my picks in Archer: Takamachi Nanoha(Nanoha) Assassin: Nanaya Shiki(Tsukihime) Berserker: Uzumaki Naruto(Naruto) Caster: Yuki Nagato(Haruhi) Lancer: Negi Springfield(Negima) Rider: Lelouch Lamperough(Code Geass) Saber: Cloud Strife(Final Fantasy)
No standard theme though, just picking from the anime I know for the best fit.
Anyone figures they can do a good Mecha set?

Let's stat some guys up. A Servant's parameters are Strength, Mana, Endurance, Agility and Luck, with ranks from E to A. They also have skills from the following list, which are similarly ranked, but with the addition of pluses and minuses. http://typemoon.wikia.com/wiki/Parameters_and_SkillsFinally, a signature weapon or skill, their "Noble Phantasm", which is "Anti-Unit", "Anti-Army" or "Anti-Fortress" and is ranked like a skill.

Archer: RaideenAssassin: Berserker: Eva-01 or Getter-1Caster: Lelouch Lamperouge Lancer: Getter-2 (a drill counts as a lance, right?) Rider: Escaflowne (turns into a dragon ridden by pilot) or Nirvash (surfs) Saber: DaizengarNormally the pilots would all be Riders, with Kouji Kabuto (pilot of Mazinger Z) being basically Gilgamesh since all giant robots are based on his (except Tetsujin-28, but he had no pilot and noone cares about him)

My revised Touhou set, updated with suggestions from veekie. Archer Yukari Yakumo - NP: Border of Life and Death (Not her final spellcard, but probably her most famous.) Assassin Sakuya Izayoi - NP: Luna Dial (No, it's not canon. But it's the closest thing she has.) Berserker Flandre Scarlet - NP: Laevatein Caster Marisa Kirisame - NP: Hakkero/Master Spark Lancer Remilia Scarlet - NP: Gungnir Rider Reimu Hakurei - NP: Yin-Yang Orbs? Saber Youmu Konpaku - NP: Roukanken I still think Marisa is a good fit, although Patchouli might be fun for making cracks at her Strength and Agility scores. Veekie: Like I said, Nanoha's awesome, but Chise fits better with the two known canon Archers.

^^ I don't know the series, so if it came to statting, I'm outta luck. Granted, I don't really know Cloud that well either, but hes prevalent enough that the wiki would do.

Well, in canon, everyone but Chise is actually a normal human, and her capabilities, both defensive and offensive, can't really be quantified. She's also never really shot at on-screen, as the show actually has very little action. In most of what's shown, she's practically invulnerable just by virtue of killing anyone that tries to shoot her. Offensive capability is easier, as she Also, in order to appease Kuroimaken, I propose Lucy or Mariko Kurama (Elfen Lied) as alternate Berserkers. Note that the point of the class isn't just going RAWR, but that they actually go batshit insane. I don't see that working all that well with Naruto.

Dunno the name though. As for Rider, hmm, Real Men Ride Each Other?

Elzam Ratsel certainly loves his horse, but he's not the one doing the riding there, and Sanger is clearly a Saber. Wasn't there this mech from SRW which was basically a sorceror? Dunno the name though. The Masoukishin (like Cybuster) contain elemental spirits and are powered by alchemy. Then you have the mechs which are combinations of the Four Gods. ^^ True, still, it was the most iconic riding thing I recall from SRW My revised Touhou set, updated with suggestions from veekie. Well, I favored Patchy because she actually does have the spells expected of a Caster, not to mention shes the original owner of Marisa's second iconic spell card, Non-Directional Laser(Marisa liked the look of it, so she stole it). Marisa would actually be closest to a caster version of Gilgamesh/Archer, with all the treasures she had looted, only she hadn't spent a lot of time gathering them yet. Reimu's iconic would be the Yin-Yang orb, it's her defining artifact since the first game(when it was the ball in some really weird balls vs blocks setup). Most of the Touhou characters would have probably one iconic NP(generally their bomb when used as a PC) and a bunch of lesser ones representing their spell cards.

I guess you've got a point on Patchy. Unfortunately, the only game I've actually played so far is PCB, so I'm not familiar with Yukari's or Youmu's bomb (or Patchouli's, if she was ever playable). So should Sakuya's NP be Killer Doll/Perfect Square? The mecha set needs more TTGL. Probably Gurren-Lagann itself, since it's of a more manageable size.

So what happens if the cast of Hokuto no Ken gets assigned as Servants?
Which one would Kenshiro be, for example?
I'd be inclined to say Assassin, since striking pressure points might not work as well on spirits. He'd have much better stats than most Assassins though. EDIT: Or maybe the piercing nature of his attacks would qualify him as a Lancer. Heck, you could even claim that his attacks "ride" his opponent's bodies. I dunno if he's ever gone berserk.

He'd make a fine Lancer except he doesn't have a lance, I think. Assassin would do.
I wonder what other alternative Classes are possible. I mean, we've heard variations are possible right? Otherwise Kotomine wouldn't bother tracking what classes were summoned.
