Ask a dragon? /shrug. Might need to use the level 6 version if I can't find one with it known at the Adept level, but that will just increase the price a bit. And there certainly should be plenty of dragons that know it at 6th, as a cleric. Unless dragons don't exist anymore or something...

I don't think the MM Rod of Chain is likely worth it. Three (reached?) Heals per day should be enough, anyway...

Especially when I can heal damage at-will now, as can... someone else. I forget. Possibly due to getting 2.5 hours of sleep divided between two naps after an all-nighter. And another all-nighter to accomplish tonight.

So... who wants to get a set of Spellguard Rings with Kyx? Or maybe we should get two sets? That would let two people ignore his spells 3x day. It should probably be people likely to be right in the thick of things, so maybe Paul and Ghiktibur?

Yeah, Adept version is hard to get as Arcane. The only way I know is Recaster. Though dragons are probably 100x more common than a Recaster who knows Adept Heal.

Not that "being realistic" is a major concern in this campaign, so maybe Kuro will say yes to Recaster-made Runestaves.

3) Normally not. But I'll let it slide, since it doesn't make sense given her change shape "type".
Her "type" is a combination of Alternate Form (for stats) and Mimic Shape (for appearance).

And you never got back to me on that item which would let her grow Colossal...

I remember trying to get the Sizing enhancement added to my monk character, using loose rules interpretation of 'striking with any part of your body' to mean your whole body is technically the weapon, as the unarmed strike/slam is not technically just one limb. Thus, your weapon, ie: your whole body, would grow or shrink at your whim. Phaedrus wouldn't let me use this ruling in his game, but I still like it as an example of breaking the rules for fun and profit. Big Grin

Rule of cool is in effect, remember? Of course you can.

How are you making a Runestaff with divine spells?

All things considered, a Runestaff is a pretty hefty investment for adding a divine spell to one's list. Though I WOULD much prefer if you guys remembered you can use your CP for consumables, and healing spells are dirt cheap as far as they're concerned.

Heh, just realised that since Eren's immune to cold she could wear clockwork armour. Tongue (which is 12,250gp with the wish discount, and could have high-CL hardness cast on it) I don't think she has heavy armour proficiency though, and it's debatable what effect it would have on the monk's AC bonus.

Anyone else immune to cold?

Don't you already have an amulet of many fangs or whatever that applies to your natural attacks? You could further enchant that.

True. I guess we could just rely on those.

OK, so I dumped Heal and took Consumptive Field 1x day instead on my runestaff. So I can give everyone a Magic Vestment, Greater Magic Weapon, and Greater Mighty Whallop (via Reach Spell and a Lesser MM Rod of Chaining) on their weapons, armor, and shields. They'll all be CL 20, so grant the full +5 bonus, and size increase for Gr. Mighty Whallop.

Those won't be really useful for at least another level, since my BAB is shit. Once I can persist divine power they'll instantly become useful.

btw, I don't have proficiencies to DCFS away, but I do plan on picking up some feats via magic locations to trade away to make up for it.

Well, you know what my suggestion is.  We've gained two levels, so you could be useful right away.

Not sure I do know, unless it involves my spellcasting.

I would guess he's suggesting you take two levels of the ghost savage progression. Wink There'd be quite a bit of overlap with my fake ghost, though. Especially since I just picked up Telekinesis as a spell known.

Heh, well I just barely made it into my dual-progression PrC with those 2 levels, and of course we generally know that dual progression is often for chumps, though of course I'm using ur priest and some customized stuff, so catch-up is fairly quick. Honestly I probably could have been more awesome going with something else, but there's gotta be some other ways to make up for this using judicious use of the Rule of Cool.

OK... after looking through the Book of Elements... I'm thinking of picking up a couple of feats that will turn Kyx into a rather nasty blaster.

I picked up a Runestaff with Arcane Spellsurge, which will let him auto-Quicken one spell per round after he casts it (using two 6th level spell slots via Versatile Spellcaster).

I'm thinking of picking up Flare of Magic. With Flare of Magic, all of his damaging spells will be automatically Empowered, and he'll also be able to cast two with one casting, as long as one is lower than his highest level spell slot.

So by combining these two, he'll be able to cast four spells per round after the first round when he uses Arcane Spellsurge, and even during that one he'll be able to cast two damaging spells also.

For his other feat (DCFS for a racial proficiency), I'm thinking of picking either Sculpt Spell or Attune Sphere for the Cold Sphere, which has Cone of Cold as a level 1 spell. So that would let me throw out four Empowered Cones of Cold per round... half of which would be Force Damage, thanks to his Planar Sorcerer level, all from 1st level slots... That's just under 300 average damage at CL 14 (which he'll have 24/7), half of which is Force... Of course, there is a saving throw, so Scorching Rays might be better.

I think I'll also pick up a Ring of Wizardry 1.

Any problem with any of that, Kuro?

Cone of Cold as a 1st level spell? I get that blasting is usually crappy, but who the hell is HIGH enough to let that fly, usually?

Is there no cost at all for Flare of Magic? Flinging blasty spells nilly-willy is one thing, but when all of them are empowered to top it off, it gets a little... fierce.
