Or did you mean that all the warforged walking around are also wearing these, because they're other guys inhabiting "robot bodies" via Magic Jar? Hate to burst your bubble, but we're all magic jarred into "robot bodies". Well, except for my guy, who's using the functionally identical malevolence. What? Are you sure you didn't confuse this with a different game you're in? Nope. I can attest to this. In other words, he's just messing with you. AWW MAN, NOW YOU'VE SPOILED THE SURPRISE Yes. Yes he is.I'm in my normal body..... I think....

Like your new avatar. I think this character is having an effect on you that reaches outside of the game.

Sounds like the makings of a gay porn film.

I keep forgetting what we were waiting for.
Noel's just waiting for final confirmation. Anyone got final questions, then now's the time.

hmm, I never took any consumables, though I'm not sure what exactly I'd take, being a warforged. >_>

I'm ready. I'd just like to use that scroll of Circle of Invis on the group before we're teleported. I think I'll also use one use of my Wall of Ice SLA to charge up my divine companion, and fire up a Message spell so we can communicate quietly over decent distances. And maybe we should discuss tactics... I'm thinking we go in invisible, and use my "pet" to check things out for us, not exposing ourselves till we have at least a decent handle on WTF is going on.

As Matsuko mentioned, if you use the screen (not scroll!) of Circle of Invis before you all teleport, it will be dispelled once you go through the gate. Once you're past that, nothing's keeping you though (and you can always send in your scout first).

By scout, do you mean "chicken on a 10 ft. pole" or one of us?

I think he meant the invisible stalker I called... So you're like the repairman who only has a hammer, and sees every problem as a nail, aren't you? I keep forgetting what we were waiting for.

"The main entrance has a security device that dispels any stealth measures before one goes in. We'll be fine once we're past the reception area though." So she meant the reception area of the demiplane we're going to? I thought she meant of the guildhouse. In that case... they need to upgrade their damned system! Sounds like a hardware problem, to me. Let me find my spanner... Hmm... joking aside... maybe I'll possess the invisible stalker and go first myself, then. Although I'll have no way to tell everyone else what is waiting for them... so I don't see what difference it will make much... I guess I could hit any visible enemies with a debuff before the rest of the group arrives or something, and hope they can't see invis.

I know I REALLY should say no... Wait until the first "session" is over, then ask again. I'll take a look at how crazy things have gotten by then.

Okay. It seems that finding a PbP game that actually sticks around has been hard. ALOT of games recently have been stillborn or subjected to Dm abandonment...to the point that I have sort of lost my faith. Still...I hold on to a thread of hope. Now finding the right game with the right tone is another matter...

The tone here is VERY tongue-in-cheek. It might come to the point that when everyone comes to a sudden realization and start staring in disbelief, one of SDK's chickens is going to escape his pocket, cluck around, and then fall into a black hole.

That's pretty normal. I've seen a few which have lasted a long time at GitP - the longest I've been in is a freeform Bleach game with no formal GM and dozens of players, which is currently entering its final arc (with a reboot in the planning stages). Freeform in general seems to be more stable and likely to finish. As in, the only RPs I've ever been in which had actual endings were freeform. Which were a recent "random characters drop into the world of Eragon and proceed to wreak havoc" game (I played Lina Inverse ), and a Legend of Zelda thing long ago.

I almost accidentally turned the 3.5 game I was going to run into a pseudo-Bleach game, as everyone had special weapons that granted unique powers and such. I'm pretty glad I didn't end up running that, since it was supposed to be a completely different type of game.
