Not much. I took some time off working on school projects, and since coming back no one seems to be posting much. I'm considering just moving things on since no one's getting very far with their methods, but I'd like to put a little more faith in all of your reasoning skills.

Not much. I took some time off working on school projects, and since coming back no one seems to be posting much. I'm considering just moving things on since no one's getting very far with their methods, but I'd like to put a little more faith in all of your reasoning skills.

School's out as of today, so if you still want a sixth player and are willing to roll with a half-done background for now, I'm up. If you want me to finish my background, that'sll probably have to wait until I actually get everything done I need to do before the actual final exams.

Should I just assume everyone goes over to meet up with Gerand and the old man? Or did you have other questions for other patrons, or other things you wanted to do? I'm getting really busy with projects, but I'm also still running this game.

Is Gerand just looking for reasons to distrust Delphina? I don't quite understand his suspicion based around the kobolds setting up an ambush. Plus, she wasn't much deeper in the forest. Just offset from the road a little further. Regardless, Eilian has reason to suspect her, but so far you guys have had little reason to be suspicious of her. Perhaps it is a matter best to be left to further investigation.

Anyway, how many of you are still paying attention to this game? Only a few of you have posted since I started updating again. Should I send another round of PMs out to everyone?

My guess is prejudice. IIRC, his fluff did mention something about him distrusting elves in general.

Agita hit it on the head. Though I don't emphasize it much in my background, despite being elven, Gerand is incredibly cautious, distrustful, and outright racist against elves. It's what happens when they drive out your father with swords and sorcery, shame your family, leave them in ruins, and force you to go to such lengths as sell your soul to the queen of air and darkness so that your mother doesn't commit suicide out of shame. You learn to hate, I suppose. 

But yeah, Mytos hates on them Elven bitches, no matter the status (though I thought of only nobler elves, I decided all elves was crueler). Oh, and vampire hunters, but we'll burn that bridge when we get to it.

You do all feel fairly tired. Keep in mind that you've been traveling out on the road all day. And this is a fantastic time to introduce a new houserule. Anyone who doesn't take an extended rest (ie: sleeping/trancing for the night) starts the day with a tier 1 karma penalty (meaning any karma rerolls you make also result in higher penalties) and grants combat advantage until the next post-combat short rest. If you go two days without an extended rest, you are also weakened, and at three days you are also dazed.

I'm doing this because I know the book doesn't technically have any repercussions for not taking an extended rest, and there are a lot of people who like to take advantage of that by not bothering to sleep/rest.

Just to make it clear: I didn't intend on doing that... I just didn't know it was this late already

I understand. But the sun has long passed the horizon. It's nighttime, when most of the town is in the tavern, where you guys are, drinking. You can go out, but you're at a marked disadvantage. You already know there are kobolds around, and many of you know they have darkvision, which you do not. Regardless of moonlight, they can see you better than you can see them. Still, you're all free to do as you please.

Just an FYI, I'm going to be out of town from the 3rd to the 15th but I'll have internet during most of that.

That's ok. For what it's worth, I won't be around as much from the 2nd through the 6th, and possibly not at all during the 5th and most of the 6th. I'll be busy moving back home for the summer. My brother will be here from Wednesday to help, which is why I won't be around. I was just about to post about it anyway.

You guys don't post much these days anyway so I don't expect much fuss.
