The Keep - Part 1

"Personally, I would take him with us while following the tracks... then try to squeeze out more info when we get there.... or maybe show them what we are gonna do to the rest of their kin should they insist into this 'drawing power from some unknown godlike source'..."

Amnon barks out laughter.  "You think that the rest of his kin care about what we do to him, that killing him in front of them will make them stop being evil?  Do you even have any idea of the nature of what we are dealing with?  Kill him now, we cannot trust him and I will not evil roam free."

[Risada]

Golkonda looks at the paladin with a expression that says "Exactly as I expected..."

"Then go ahead, righteous and mighty warrior. It's all yours. And I will say this, knowing you will most likely ignore it anyway: not everyone you fight against will be evil. Perhaps they take orders from someone evil without knowing. Would you still slay such creature?"

[Nanshork]

Amnon slowly usheathes his sword, bringing it up in preperation for the blow.  "Aiding and abetting evil is in and of itself an evil act.  Acceptance of the unrighteous is unacceptable.  Those who surrender may be taken to the authorities for judgement, but filth such as this is as dirt beneath my boot."  He then brings his sword down, cutting off the creature's head.

I'm assuming I don't have to roll so I can be theatrical, correct me if I'm wrong.

[Risada]

Golkonda still has the "Exactly as I expected..." expression on his face. Then, speaks with slightly sadistic tone.

"Very well... I expected nothing different from you, Amnon."

The gith takes some steps away from the paladin, speaking to whoever wants to hear.

"It's best for us to get prepared for anything..."

[Agita]

Completely ignoring Amnon's declarations, Aanna muses. "Hmm... so he's basically a clueless fanatic? A religious twit without a drop of common sense, blindly following whatever he thinks is the doctrine and making up circular nonsense whenever someone calls him on it, refusing to budge even a little? Yes, I suppose we're doing him a favor by offing him."

[Risada]

"Please, don't misunderstand me. What I just said doesn't apply to this fellow here, but for the people we have yet to meet. Anyway, are we going after this guy's brethren or continuing with our primary goal? I feel some of us might want to rout the kobolds first..."

Since he was essentially just a minion, at one hit point and tied up, yeah, it's fine to just off him. In fact, you guys can feel free to inject dramatic flourishes pretty much anywhere. In combat, if there's any part of the environment to interact with, please get creative. I'll work around what you want to do and find a way to let you do it. Just ask about it in the OOC thread and I'll let you know what kind of rolls/actions are needed, etc.

"I'm afraid I'll have to assist him in that endeavor; I've a job to accomplish that I'm sorry to inform you takes precedence."

"It's no use splitting up, so I will assist you in rooting out the kobold infestation."

"Yeah, what the ef said. And I might find some interesting item, to boot...."

So your group has collectively decided to take care of the Kobold problem. Curyll has found the escaped-kobold's tracks with Ouray's help, but following them is another matter (Anyone may roll Nature to follow the tracks). How do you want to approach? I never assume stealth, so I need you guys to tell me if anyone is being stealthy (and provide the appropriate skill roll to do so) whenever you're going anywhere. Also, feel free to be creative with your skills, even outside of a skill challenge type situation. Certain skills can be used to take advantage of a situation and make things easier, but I can't always tell you what going to work, or in what way.

Ouray flies off into the woods, with Curyll close behind. The rest of the group tries to keep up, but the elf is too swift and single-minded in his pursuit of the tracks to allow the group to keep up. Between the efforts of the group, most of you manage to follow the tracks through the woods. Finally, you come out of the thicket of trees to the north of a clearing- with no sight of Curyll or his avian companion.

You can tell that small glades of trees lead up to a cliffside waterfall, where a stream tumbles from the top of a rocky overhang. The water descends the side of the hill and flows away to the southwest.

Amnon breaks into the clearing and immediately takes point, shielding his compatriots from whatever might come at them.

I suppose I'll try and be stealthy... 15 on that, not terrible....

Right now this is 'Round 0'. You can use that stealth check when you guys start moving, after I've got you all in place. From there, you all can roll stealth or perception all you like.

I suppose if you guys want to roll perception now though, that's fine too.
