As you see Minharath concentrating fiercely, you notice two of the weaker kobolds collapse to the ground, convulsing in a bizarre fit. At the same time, the kobold with the scale armor farthest off clutches at his head, swinging occasionally at invisible foes as his attention is divided between the nightmares in his mind and your party. He's looking the worse for wear, as blood trickles out of his nostrils.

The minion adjacent to Amnon collapses as though Gerand's blade had been swung with 10 times more force than he had actually used, and now lays crumpled on the ground. Only two Kobolds remain, both of which are battered and bloodied.
It is now Amnon's turn.

Amnon moves to attack the kobold that had marked him.

Amnon hits the Kobold square in the chest, knocking the wind out of him. Hanging on to life by a thread, he staggers back, and then collapses. The one remaining kobold hears his ally slump to the ground, and knowing that he isn't fast enough to outrun the ranger's bow, surrenders to your mercy.

--Combat End--The one remaining kobold throws himself on your mercy, as exhausted, battered, and nervous as he is. Among him and his allies, you find very little in the way of treasure. Besides their equipment, the kobolds only have about 40 silver pieces. Equipment found:As soon as you've had a moment to rest, you hear the sound of crying coming from a ways off in the distance, not far into the woods.

After the battle, Amnon picks up one of the shields and replaces his own with it, enjoying the look and the feel of it. As he ponders what to do with the remaining kobold he hears the cry and yells "To arms brothers, we are needed!" He then runs in the direction of the cries, though not particularly quickly weighed down as he is.

Sighing as he pulls the sword out of the last foes corpse, He looks from the party to the single zealous compatriot running blindly towards the voice. "Oh, in the Queens high name... we might as well make sure he doesn't walk RIGHT into that trap... AMNON! HOLD YOURSELF!" Sprinting as fast as he can, he moves to catch up, gaining ground quickly with his lithe pace. "It could be a trap, you fool!"

As you venture further into the woods, you see a young elf woman tied to a tree. She is dressed in peasant's clothes and looks fairly roughed up. At her feet rests a turned-over basket and a scattering of purple flowers.
When Amnon approaches, she looks up, relieved, and says, "Oh, thank the Sovereign Host! I thought I was dead... or worse."
She shifts in her seating, clearly uncomfortable with her binding as it is.
"My name is Delphina Moongem, and I'm a flower merchant from Winterhaven. I was out here picking violets when I came across the kobolds. I would be most grateful if you untied me and escorted me back home."

Amnon completely ignores Gerand's warning. "Of course fair maiden, at once! Dol Arrah forbid if I should let you suffer a moment longer," he says upon hearing her plea, quickly moving to remove her bonds.

Minharath dutifully follows his compatriots. When he reaches the scene he is quick to look for further trouble.

OOC: Short rest: Ouray will spend one Healing Surge to get back to full HP. If it's okay with everyone else, I would like to take the following for Curyll: One short sword; Sling with 20 bullets; Bandolier with two ceramic globes (2 firepots) (What exactly do they do, Venn? Assuming they're usable by a PC that is ) Sighing at his compatriot's behavior, Curyll swiftly follows his allies after taking what he thinks might be useful from his slain enemies' corpses, his Hawk in the air overhead As he approaches the scene he stays back a bit and quickly checks for anything out of the ordinary, Ouray providing him with a second set of senses on which to rely. Perception and Insight checks (for Curyll and Ouray, assuming the Hawk can make (these kind of) checks outside of combat) to notice anything unusual and/or suspicious, particularly regarding the Elven woman and anything indicating an ambush/more kobolds. Curyll (Insight/Perception): 17,20Ouray (Insight/Perception): 11,17

Golkonda runs after his companions, and examines the elf for wounds and such. Spending one healing surge to get to full HP, and places another two into his healing infusion. **if anyone can contribute with healing surges later, Golkonda will be happy Heal check on the elf: 1d20+6=9Somehow, I'm not surprised with such a low roll

Your party checks the area thouroughly, but finds no indication of more kobolds in the area. In fact, your check is so thorough that you don't even notice your kobold prisoner slip away, sneaking off while your attention is focused on other matters. Golkonda notices some bruising on Delphina, and some minor wounds, all of which appear to be fairly fresh. @Golkonda After Amnon removes the bindings, Delphina stands up, with a little help, and dusts off her skirt. She then proceeds to gather up her flowers and basket, and says, "I'm ever so grateful that you rescued me. If it's alright with you, can we leave now? I'd like to return home after that ordeal and rest a bit."

"Wait! Noone was guarding the reptilian scum!
Ouray, go high!" Curyll shouts out as he heads to the kobold's last location.
