Unfortunately, Zap's zap hits one of the trees near the kobold he was aiming for, leaving the reptile less-than-Zapped. The slinger risks electrocution to get away from the swordmage, shifting away and taking the full damage. It then pulls out the last remaining ceramic pot and fires it at Gerand. The pot breaks open, releasing a foul-smelling odor as the eladrin takes 5 damage and -2 to attack rolls (Save Ends). The kobold then moves into the cave. Gerand: The weak-looking kobold attempts to stab Amnon, but its spear once again bounces off the tiefling's armor. It shifts to F3. The agile kobold attacks Amnon, but the Paladin strikes the spear away ( 20 vs. 20 AC, defender wins). He then shifts away, moving his ally into his space (see map). Map:Golkonda strikes back!

Golkonda takes a quick step towards the shield kobold, and stab him with an arcane-powered blow. Move: Shift to C6 Standard: Magic Weapon on K -> 1d20+8=24;1d6+4=6. On a hit, Aanna gains +1 Power bonus to attack rolls and +3 bonus on damage rolls until the EONT.

Once again, the kobold deflects the artificer's longknife back toward its owner, hitting D on the way. Unfortunately, the shielded kobold was already pretty wobbly, and he goes down! You still can't target him since he's not the closest target. You'd also incur an AoO from the Dragonshield, assuming he wants to risk getting blasted by holy power. So, I'm going to assume you're going to then attack D again. Amnon's up, and the lone kobold remaining next to him seems to have lost some of its bravado!

Amnon is getting very tired of dealing with these infuriating kobolds and will be happy when he has wiped them off the face of the earth for the betterment of all that is good. Focusing his attention on the lone kobold that remains within reach, Amnon smites him. Minor: Marking M Standard: Enfeebling Strike Hit: 20 Damage: 12If he survives he gets a -2 to hit until end of my next turn.

Without wasting time, Aanna charges forward, blocking the sneaky kobold's escape route towards the cave and patching her wounds in one go with a quick spell. Then, taking advantage of her momentum, she once again swings her sword, its glow becoming deep orange again as it strikes the kobold. At the same time, she points at Gerand and the unknown halfling, then at the cave. "You two, the slinger!"

The Eladrin, partly on his way to investigate whether a frontal assault is a wise choice, hears the woman's message, and stops for a moment. After looking back with an irked look, and making a rude elvish gesture towards her, he continues pursuit.

Seeing as no one is interested in checking the cave, the gith decides to look into it himself. Move into entrance of the cave, and looks into it. Perception: 1d20+1 = 8Well... I guess I will pass...

Kobold Lair - Part 2As Gerand and Golkonda approach the mouth of the cavern, they both can now plainly see more than a dozen kobolds scurry in and out of sight throughout the cave. Screams, shouts, and cries of alarm reverberate throughout the torchlit hollow. Not far into the cave, you two see the slinger that had escaped now lies dead on the ground. Clearly its kin put it out of its misery, as it had been close to death already. Blood pools around the sling that still occupies its lifeless hand. Cave Map: Modified InitiativeMonsters-1 23 Monsters-3 19 Zap 16 Golkonda 13 Amnon 13 Aanna 8 Monsters-2 5 Mytos 4 Amnon's up.

Picking up her wand, Aanna follows close after Amnon, but chooses the lower, hidden entrance instead, alerting her allies to it as well. if it's ignored, she trusts those kobolds to take advantage of it to surround them.

Part 2 Recap:When last we left our heroes, they had been fighting valiantly to breach the cavern-hideout of the Kobolds that had been plaguing the roads just outside of Winterhaven. They bested several of the reptilian creatures, only to enter the cavern and find over a dozen more waiting within. Everyone arrives inside, while Gerand and Golkonda begin taking on the scaly pests. A harsh, bleating horn heralds the appearance of a goblin-like creature. Pale for a goblin, this four-armed creature has a large head and no neck, giving it a hunch-backed form. The creature has two mouths, each of which sports a jagged set of metal teeth. Presumably this is the leader of the kobolds, Ironteeth, whom they threatened you would make a nice gift for earlier. Around him, more kobolds scurry as if afraid to get too close. A great tattoo depicting a skeletal ram's head marks this creature's deformed face. This abomination wields a pair of battleaxes, each hefted by two of its strong, sinewy arms. Ok, before we continue, I need to have everyone inside and placed. I'm posting the pre-round map, and I'd like everyone to place themselves somewhere within the blue rectangle, comprising the area from A1 to G21, even if you were already within the cavern. We'll keep your year-old initiative scores, unless you'd rather re-roll, but don't post actions since I'm not quite done with pre-round fluff. Map:
