Congrats, man! Is this your first?
4 cm, already? IIRC, isn't that the minimum that they check for in triage? It's been a year-and-a-half since my daughter was born, so I forgot all the numbers. Last I remember, they'll send you home if you're not at 4cm, and they're looking for about 10cm for labor, right?
Good luck, and don't let her break your hand squeezing! Also, if you can help it, bring some snacks or something and make sure you eat enough. The last thing you want to do is realize that you haven't eaten in hours due to hectically running around.
Thanks. And yes our first. 4cm is actually the "start" of labor. 10cm is near the end of delivery. I already have some snacks for me and one of the nurses at our hospital is a good friend of mine so i'll have someone who knows there to help. We actually went to our friends new parents class last night, it was good class to help you get ready for what is about to happen.

Cool.
I got insanely lucky with my wife's labor. It lasted less than two hours! She woke me up at 5:00 or 6:00, we went to the hospital, and she had our daughter before 8:00. She went from 4cm to 9.5cm in something like 45 minutes. It was kind of crazy, really.
Still, in hindsight, I'm glad everything was over that fast. Hopefully her labor doesn't drag on forever.

Yep, I think we have confirmation, that item is way undercosted. At this level, it's practically a 1/day "I win", though hitting them with smoke and charging in would have been just as effective, if longer.

This would seem to be a good time to plonk down the pyromancer smokescreen, isn't it? Also, I forgot to swap out my Amber Amulet(due to broken), doing so now.

I'm betting it's best bet is to camp around the corner until one of us gets within reach, then make a grab and slam the victim in a grapple while the others can't attack for fear of friendly fire. Our best bet is to remove visuals, then to fry it at close range with AoEs.

Well, I was hoping to hold it at bay while the rest of you pelted it at range, but the tanglepatch changed that tactic. Guess I should have said something more overt.
Now it's probably waiting until it can charge someone, most likely when the tanglepatch effect disappears.

Baby is here, mommy is hurting but ok (think the epidural caused a slipped disk), baby is doing ok but is in ICU due to a heart murmur and low O2 count. Should be nothing but i won't know for a while.
Roby i'm in no condition to be trying to play right now, so feel free to take over my character until I can take my little girl home and be more at ease.

the murmur and low O2 is more serious than we thought. She has a hole in her heart and the 2 main arteries of her heart are switched. She is being transferred to New Orleans to see a doctor that specializes in heart surgery on children. We will be following her in a day or two since they won't do the surgery until they have a more detailed understanding of the situation and plan for correction.

I hope everything turns out well for your daughter.
@ everyone else: I feel a little weird running Aepa as I have a bit of an idea what I want the monsters to do. Do you think it would be better for one of you to take over for the time being, or for me to post a suggested move here pending approval from any one of you four?
At this point, if I were running Aepa, I'd probably have him ready either a Lightning or a Wind Strike. Wind Strike has the advantage of being able to shoot through squares with allies with no risk to them.

Tactically, holding a Wind Strike until the Entangle ends is the only safe way for Aepa to act offensively, what with the lightning bolt expended and a distinct lack of trigger items.
However, Wind Push deals no damage and can be used to reposition Grizz to where he can engage the Minotaur, assuming forced movement can bypass the entangling. If forced movement does not ignore the immobilisation, then moving Thorden would have similar effect, as well as forcing the minotaur to enter the firing alley of the rest of the party.

Yeah, I forgot Lightning is encounter only at this level. At this point, I'll figure on him readying a Wind Strike until the minotaur comes into view, unless the situation changes by his next action.
Unless I worded it oddly, Wind Push should piggy-back on Wind Strike, so it would deal damage. It's basically meant to add some versatility to the wind push.

Still potentially worth it(particularly if you could intentionally reduce the damage dice going in), but eh, moot point now.
