actually your brain will translate all kinds of stuff as long as the letters are in it and the first and last one are correct. It was really cool to see the letter that ho nothing spelled correctly and was perfectly understandable due to this fact.
I had thought of that too. I remember reading that paragraph quite a while ago. It's remarkable how well it works. I can read it at almost full speed at full comprehension. Of course, the difference here is I was pronouncing the second T as an R. I totally thought the word was factorum, and I just failed to read the second T dozens (if not hundreds) of times over the course of two or three years. Although, the only times I ever said the word out loud was when I was talking to people who didn't have Dungeonscape, so they couldn't correct me on that point. |

 does my windstrike/push ability function essentially like gust of wind? If so can't i just blow the cloud away? If so Aepa just needs to know to do it, ie someone yell at him since he is still blind and doesn't want to shoot a party member. |

Once the wizard's summon spell got disrupted, he knew it was time to get out of there!
That was a long fight. I only had two buffs up for the wizard ahead of time (hour/level duration ones that made sense), so he had Mage Armor and False Life.

yeah as soon as i was blinded i figured i wasn't doing much until it was over. Even with my AoE I couldn't really use it without a significant chance of blasting an ally.

Actually I wouldn't worry too much about a little friendly fire, the damage is survivable to most of us, as long as you can take more out of them than out of us.

I guess maybe it is my table top experience where if my character was the one who got controlled it was guaranteed to kill someone (probably most everyone else), this is mostly due to the fact that i build to be effective and they built steaming piles of crap in armor or robes. I know for this game that if I don't out right kill a PC we will be fine, unless I drop the healer then that would suck.

On a semi-related note:
I've been working on a project for a while now, and one of the main points involves turning all casters into spontaneous niche casters like the beguiler. I was thinking that these four classes would be perfect candidates as well. I'm in the process of picking the four spell lists (by far the hardest part), but I was thinking about showing them to you guys before I posted them in the house-rule board.
The way these classes are turning out, I'm not sure they'd fit for the rest of the house-rules I'm creating. Not that I think they're bad classes; I'm just not sure the unlimited resources paradigm is what I'm shooting for.

Overall it probably is best to leave the infinite resources paradigm to the beat sticks. the closest a caster should come is the reserve feats which are nice to have but not too powerful.
