Yeowch, that was nearly half my total hitpoints in one attack. Thank goodness for DR or I'd have taken more than just 11 damage. Actually, it was 15 before the DR, and 13 after. Yeah, I ran one of these against a two person group once and it was deadly. Although you guys have several advantages over that group.

I think the sickening also applies to the primary target(since it's within 10ft of itself), but not sure.

I can't take it until level 6 so we have some time.
I'm still looking for more feats and items to purchase since most anything i think will be useful i can't actually qualify for. Probably going to do a lot of meta spell like feats but am looking to increase my rolls like wind push too.

Blast Grizz didn't buy a healing belt...was going to heal him and then he could heal me...
I honestly considered it, but I didn't buy anything but a wand chamber to be added to my morningstar. The next encounter came up a bit too fast for me to look into what equipment I could afford. Really should've gotten that healing belt, though. Still, it might not have done me any good. We'd just be exchanging heals until we ran out and they overtook us anyway. Or someone else killed them. >_>

I saved most of my money too. I'm just not that good at finding low gp items to buy. Hopefully, that doesn't screw us at all in the next few games; these bastards hit pretty friggin hard.

That they do. But again, for our party this is a "Very Difficult" encounter which is a step below impossible. I think it's an interesting change from the encounters that we breeze through too easily, though I'm not yet sure how well it tests our classes' abilities. Still good to see how they perform under pressure, though.

We could always fog up and bombard with AoEs, but it requires that our boys get out o the way.

I don't know what good the fog will do against creatures with tremorsense and that can just tunnel out of the fog.

They'd still suffer miss chances, whereas using AoEs, we don't, so long as we stay in the edges of fog, they're too large to be completely concealed as we can discern direction from sound.

So to repeat the question from the battle in a generic form: If i wind push someone who is unable to resist; ie has no physical control due to being dead, unconscious, paralyzed, etc...; do they automatically loose? What is the result of their strength check treated as (0??)?
I see this coming into play later on as i could easily push allies out of harms way if they are disabled. If they are treated as having a 0 strength check i could really get some distance on them, in some cases more than their move speed if i roll well. This also could be abused by people saying "i don't resist the push" and being treated as a 0 to get more movement than they normally could, assuming a good roll and jacked up Cha check.
To tie into this is there an option to use our abilities at lower than maximum caster level? For example could at level 20 i wanted to scare some villagers so i used the lightning bolt ability but didn't want to kill too many so i choose to only deal 3d6 (minimal level based on when it is gained)? That would tie in because i could choose to windpush an ally for only 2d6 subdual rather than my full level.

That's a good question, although, before I get too far into it, remember that Wind Push is a rider effect on Wind Strike, so you'll be damaging your allies to give them that boost. Of course, it's possible to be immune to nonlethal damage.
One way to look at non-resistance could be to use size instead of Str. Although that could get into some weird territory of actually getting more resistant when you stop resisting! Probably not the best idea.

When you're near dying, being knocked out is a great deal more attractive than being dead. I see Wind Push as a legitimate flexibility granted the Aeromancer, being able to move friendlies around the field is pretty valuable for a class with limited tricks.

Good point. If you're already KOed, it's not like the extra non lethal damage will "hurt" you, other than make recovery take marginally longer.

Sorry I took so long to get this one up. I had to get my basement ready for having carpet installed. The guys are coming today so I took the day off work. That being said, I had time to use something other than canned monsters... Sorry, Flay. I hope this fight isn't boring as shit for you.
