The troll attempts to get off the ice again -> d20 + 2 = 6, but doesn't fall this time. It then drops prone and uses a move action to begin crawling out (clawing in ice-free areas). It moves five feet to N 15 x O 16 (half in the ice) and is still prone.

(Yes, you're now beside Grizz.)
Edit: I realized you did 2d6 damage instead of 4d6 with Water Jet (it should be 1d6 per CL, not 2 CL if I read that right), so I'll add another 2d6 to your 5 points of damage -> 10 more points for 15 damage before being halved.

Call lightning again dc16(swift), draw bow (move), ready to fire when it stands up (standard). Call lightning; Attack; Damage (3d6=11, 1d20+6=12, 1d6-2=0)  wonderful shot. The only way it could get better is if it were a crit. |

I should have done this right after the troll acted, but I forgot. With him half off the ice patch, Ixen can use Flaming Sphere without melting the ice.
Ixen casts Flaming Sphere in O 16 -> 3d6 = 9. The troll attempts to dodge -> d20 + 4 = 7, and he takes the damage and falls unconscious in place!
The troll is laying on the ground, half on the ice patch, with a flaming sphere laying on him. This is pretty much a win for you, in that, if Ixen does nothing, he should out-pace the troll's regeneration, anyway.
You guy's win the fight!

Yeah. If I'd had him try to claw his way out a round earlier, he'd be out, but I don't think he would have gotten past Grizz. Given his Balance mod, he should have made it by two rounds. Still, I was hoping you guys would have gotten 30 or 60 feet closer before spotting him. Aepa had a good roll early. I'll try to get a new one up in a bit; possibly tonight. Remember to track your spell slots spent for the next fight. |
