@Phaedrus It still works out to
"I am a servant of god!"
"Which God?"
Points to guy beside him "That one."
That actually seems awesome.
Oh yeah, that's totally how it will go down. Big Grin
So his reply to anyone saying "Oh my god!" will be "yes?"

Question to everyone. I see my character referring himself as we. How should I differentiate it being used in the context of me with the context of the group? I'm guessing use an Italicized version if he is only referring to himself.

The greek gods probably doesn't take kindly to people claiming godhood, nor to quasi-gods from some foreign pantheon wandering in on their domain.

then again, the Greek gods doesn't take kindly to anything that doesn't involve praising them in some way, as a general rule of thumb.

Don't differentiate. It can make for fun hi-jinks when we don't know who you're talking to.

Yeah, but aren't they basically waging war on humanity? If they're already going around killing a bunch of people, what difference does it make? They might move us up on the hit list?

Just asking. And yeah, we could probably be more discreet than that.   Big Grin

Gah, that means that I'll have to read the thread and see what else isn't in the first post and make a character.  Thanks!

They were originally in the Book of Vile Darkness, but have been reprinted/added to in a couple of books since then. They're "evil" feats that give you various benefits, some awesome and some awful. They all have a prereq feat (Willing Deformity), and may have other prereqs as well. The book with all the Elder Evil stuff in it (I forget the name... it was the last 3.5 book) gives characters that devote themselves to an elder evil one of these at 1st and another at levels divisible by 5 as bonus feats.

But as they are a feat chain, and those are done away with in tome, the deformity (new) feat gives 1 deformity at 1st and one every 5 levels.

Here is the Cliff's notes version, mostly from my house rules:

You basically can only have 8 active "constant effect" magic items at a time, and it takes several minutes (1d4) to unbind an item. Single use items like scrolls and potions don't need to be "bound", and neither do "use activated" items (like magic weapons that only do damage, for example). So you could, for example, have 6 "constant effect" items like magic boots, armor, etc, bound to you, and a dozen magic daggers in a bandoleer, if you want. You'd only be able to benefit from up to 2 daggers at a time. However, you could throw them all in a round, and still benefit from them, as you're only throwing one at a time, and they're "use activated" so they don't "bind" to you (so you can swap between them immediately, without the 1d4 minute unbinding time). I think if you use TWF, it counts as two items, though.

Enhancement bonuses will scale with levels, as outlined in the Book of Gears link I provided.

Typically with the "Wish economy", doing crazy stuff that would "break the economy" in a normal game is just fine (for example, using a Candle of Invocation to "chain bind" efreet). However, you can't Wish for magic items worth more than 15,000 gold pieces. There are several links to more details about how that works in this post. Since it sounds like no one is trading using gold at all, things will be a bit different in Hijax's game, though...

Hank's Bow would be considered a "moderate" magic item. It is above 15,000 gp, so you can't Wish for it (for free, at least). So you'd have to either loot it off someone, steal it, or trade an item of relatively equal value for it. Or craft it, I guess, depending on how he's handling that.

The Bow of the Wintermoon (relic from the Magic Item Compendium) can provide a pretty good cheap knockoff of it, though, especially if you add the Force enhancement later.

ty,

again you have provided what i ask for. i had most of that down.

i still dont see how minor/medium/major items are made in this system.

i guess its easiest to take the old system and compare cost vs 15k... seems rather jet set, but im down w/ that.

Frank went through and placed all the DMG items into minor, lesser, medium, and major categories in a thread on their boards. I'm not all that up on their item crafting rules to be honest, as I just made up my own. I know a caster can supposedly only make one "level appropriate" item per character level, but that's about all I remember.

Or trade multiple items with a total value of about equal to it. If you track down someone with it I'm sure we can acquire it.
