Also Is their any way to get some form of resistance to insanity?
Maybe take the Madness domain? If you're already insane... (You can also be a Spartan, if you want. Big Grin )

And... I never realized just how awesome that domain could be... You add half your character level to your wisdom score to determine save DCs and bonus spells? Holy crap!

I guess Deformity: Madness might work for your purposes, also. Big Grin (and it makes you immune to all mind-affecting effects)

But how would the deformity feat chain interact with the removal of feat chains? Maybe a feat that simply grants 1 Deformity + 1 extra per X levels?
I am only really interested in the gaunt(trapped in a cage with meager food all his life), Madness (slight flaw lead to dual consciousness creating multiple personalty disorder), and clawed hand deformities (progressed from the experimental stock claws)
This is an basically evil group, right?

I'm Good.  Mad I could be N though.

EDIT: okay... items.
So I get any 8 items I want that cost below 15k? And they will scale ala Book of Gears? Or do my 8 items need to come from my WBL and only 8 are active at once?

Also, I think that Tome series changes +1 (Effect) Sword to just (Effect) Sword, right? Like you can have a Flaming Longsword without the +1?

1. 8 constant effect items. use activated doesn't count, but your magic weapons take up slots.
2. bought with WBL.
3. Relevant items will scale.
4. You buy it as a +1 (effect) sword and the +X scales.
I think. I'm not sure for 2,3,4.
I'd advise neutral, seeing as we have a bone knight, a conduit of  the lower planes, and a (likely) insane warlock.

You said it.

I wish my immunity to fear at least gave me some resistance to insanity. Afterall, I've got the blood of a God running through my veins.

Also, I was planning on being fairly anti-evil, but not necessarily a do-gooder. CG, N, or CN maybe.

anti-(specific) evil? You get to be vs. evil and not fight with the other PCs.

Also just bought my guy a mirrior so he can horrify people from around corners.

Only the first couple of times. Plus, who says I need/want a mount? Especially one that'd make me go insane?

Next level I'll be Invisible whenever I'm on my mount. And next level I'll awaken my Hydra to make it always invisible when I'm not on it. Maybe.

@Hijax, I want to give the mount Product of Infernal Dalliance, Wings of Evil, and Fiendish Invisibility. Is that okay? Do I need to pay for PsyRef/DCFS?
(Also, Revived Fossils "cannot use their wings to fly," does that include wings added on after the transformation to Undead? Or does Wings of Evil count as Magical Flight?)

And also directed @ Hijax, are you expecting us to enter the Wish economy? Around when?

@Everyone else, who can break that barrier for us?

you can pick feats for your mount, wings of evil will give it flight.

wish economy, you will probably enter around lvl 10(or something).

On further thinking, i've decided to give you sanity resistance 5. So only pretty horrendous things will make you start gibbering.

also, you're immune to sanity damage from looking at yourself, or using racial abilities.
this also applies to class-granted companions, such as mounts(they will not make you insane)

Bump

Also how does deformity madness interact with sanity?

obah allowed.

that works for me, we'll say at level 1 and every level divisible by 5(1,5,10,15,20).
and you can take this multiple times, and get a lot of deformity feats.

madness will... give you sanity resistance 10(instead of 5), but make you start at only wis*3.
sounds ok?

Madness already lowers WIS by four points(20 sanity). Would that be in addition or instead?
Also, should it make me choose 1 type of insanity to be active?

What about Fear immunity? Does that at least give some resistance to insanity? I don't see how you can be unafraid of something but still have it drive you crazy.
