oh, damn it all, I'm ditching magic, I can never get my head aond the stuff anyways (I'm used to going up with more damage than should be possible, not crowd control and summoing...unlesssad summon is a meat shield.) I'm going warblade//swordsage (if I can get the same maneuvers on both lists, otherwise I'll have a crapton of useless maneuvers ready to waste time with.) or warblade//bard (my voice shall incinerate our weapons!)

I'll take the barbarian dip to get pounce(and start inferno-charging people!) and if alignment isnt an issue I'll also dip cobra-monk for dodge/unarmed strike, use warblade bonus feats on blind-fight and improved initiative, take adaptive style and take Mo9 later on, making me the semi-crazy-disciplined-master swordsman!...ish, maybe kinda. So, can I ready, say, sudden leap on both warblade and swordsage sides of me? Thats just an example I won't be taking sudden leap (most likely, it has little value when I have pounce.) Feats needed so far are imp. bullrush, power attack, leap, shock trooper and adaptive style. That leaves me 2 feats to play around with. I'm probably gonna wind up mostly a charger that gores everything in sight with either a katana (cliche but awesome) or greataxe (just for the laughs of me charging out of the shadows screaming loudly with a big axe about to sever the target's neck).
Also, are changlings allowed? (ebberon) unless true seeing is common, they fit the role well and make a perfect disguise.

Changelings are allowed, I am playing one.

Dunno about true seeing though.

hurray for morphing then! Time to start selecting maneuvers then. I get 8-9 (not including stances) at first level...this is more of a whichs ones I DON'T want...and I HATE this god damn unresponsive keyboard! One more question though, stances count as qualifiers for higher level maneuvers right?

aighty, I guess
Warblade will take first level as a warblade, then take the two dips, and coninue as warbade after. maneuvers are will and reflex counters, wolf fang strike, steely wind and wall of blades (iron heart is in my top three along with diamond mind and a toss up between white raven and devoted spirit) Stances are leading the charge and leaping dragon stance, or whatever its called.
Swordsage will be full swordsage the full way through (with the warblade side benefits, This class is hard to dislike) I have 11 maneuvers here, and 3 stances, so I think: burning blade, distracting ember, counter charge, stone bones, shadow blade tech., sudden leap, charging minotaur, drain vitality, shadow jaunt, mind over body, with stances child of shadow, flame blessing and dance of the spider. ToB is still a bit new to me, think these will work for me? imagine keeping track of them all...

Storm has ruled that you can delay the gaining of manuevers, so you could wait til level 6 to use them all, and yes stances count.

wait, so I can have all my maneuvers level 3 (not including prerequisites)? kickass! Can I switch my maneuvers indefinately as I progress in level? (as in use a couple to meet prereqs and use the rest on legitimately good ones?...or could I do that either way? I'm unsure of the maneuver switching limits)

Switching is stated in each class's entry. As long as you met the initiator level yeah you could have all level three stuff, don't forget the first level stance HAS to be level one.

In the switching out of maneuvers you need to maintain prerequisite numbers.

alright, new maneuver list
Warblade
moment of perfect clarity, action before thought, mind over body, wall of blades, iron heart surge, white raven tactics
leading the charge, tactics of the wolf.

Swordsage
burning blade, claw at the moon, shadow jaunt, emerald razor, insightful strike...I'll just save the rest
dance of the spider, child of shadow, hunter's sense

I'll move the monk level to swordsage side, and take the dark template on that side. How does buying off the level adjustment on one side work? I suppose I'm going to wind up as our meatshield, what with my probably close to 90-ish hit points (12x6 = 72 + probably around 3x6 means dead on 90) and potentially high AC/saves...assuming we even NEED someone to get their face beaten in.

Also, what exactly should I assume for my history with the Shadow Core and such? Should I already know the party fairly well, or were we just recently grouped together?

ok, my interpretation of that is that I'm 6//5, and after getting 3,000 experience (or whatever the LA buyoff cost was, I'll have to doublecheck) I'll become 6//6. Either that or since it was bought off a few theoretical levels ago, so I'm now 6//6. Are either of these right?

you really need to read he link as it discusses examples and cases.

you can't say "I am 6/5".  you need to make clear where you are on the XP vs ECL.  As the link explains.

Is this game dead?

Not sure but seems possible.  Storm doesn't seem to be around too often and we don't even have a child board yet for the game.  I thought Storm had IMed for one weeks back....

Oh well, will continue to wait a bit more as it really does sound like a potentially fun game.

It is not dead, least not that I can tell, it is more on pause with Storm waiting on AC to make a board to post the bulk of the information. Sadly AC has not logged on in about a month, but he did say he was busy.

alright, all thats left is choosing my gear. Any suggestions? All I have down is use a katana (discipline focus on diamond mind) and light armor (lower check penalty and +1 due to wisdom).

Heres the so-far me, any nits to pick?

http://www.myth-weavers.com/sheetview.php?sheetid=199367

maneuver list is already listed on this forum, should I write them in the spell list?

Oh, and again, for the sake of my backround-writing, what should I assume my history with Shadow Core is? Am I already assumed to have been in the organisation for long? Have I just joined? is it up to me? If I have been in the Shadow Core for some time, do I already know the rest of the party fairly well?

Someone on these boards seems to know AC out in the real world, and has some means of contacting him.
