So, in my last game since we were nearing the end of the day and had missed the DMs hooks... instead of calling it and wasting the day, he presented us with the deck of many things.
I got really lucky.
I drew 5.
The only bad thing that happened was 'the void', and it was my last card.
Well, I lucked out there too.
Landed in... celestia. Yep. LN Boneknight soul, in celestia. Oh yeah, I actually CALLED Celestia as the plane before he rolled too. It was awesome, I got so lucky that day.
I also got :
Throne(free keep and shit)
Moon(1d4 wishes,rolled 4)
Jester(level up)
and knight(lvl 4 squire).
Well, considering I'm now level 12, the DM thought that the level 4 fighter would be pretty useless. So he gave it a power boost.
It doesn't have to be my race, and afaik can have 8 levels worth of adjustments/racial HD.
So, what should I make this guy?

You could set him up as an archer. Fighter 4/Warblade 8 would be pretty impressive if you can do it right.
Or if your DM allows you to make him a Dungeoncrasher, consider Feat Rogue 2/Dungeoncrasher 6/Barbarian 2/War Hulk 2...

yeah, had that actually... dire tiger i had bought/trained. tried to turn it into a mount when i got the ability. pelorian cleric didn't like it:( threatened to kill me if i didn't! of course he couldn't actually kill me but I didn't want to kill his character. yet. |

Is it ECL 8 creature, or can you have any 8 HD critter?
War Troll has 12 HD (not to mention +6 LA), so it won't work one way or the other. Go for Bladerager Troll from MMV, I think they only have 6 HD (but a hefty LA as I recall) if you get the latter method. Or maybe Afflicted Werebear Human Dungeoncrashing Fighter for the former method. 6 Animal HD, +2 LA, so it should work.
Even a Rakshasa or Lammasu might be interesting choices. Or Mind Flayer. Assuming it is just 8 HD, and not ECL 8 of course.
