"All right, sounds like a plan. Let's hunt down some stragglers. Actually, we might want to leave two alive - one to interrogate, the other to send back. That way, if we play our cards right, they won't know that we interrogated one for intelligence. I'm sure we can do it, but I still want to have some intel on the keep before we attack it."

"And exactly how are we planning on interrogating them? Do some of you have some magical means of compulsion to use? I'm going to say up front that I'm not OK with torture... for any reason. Threats and trickery are fine, but I draw the line at actual torture...
For example I'd be ok with taking one outside, make a lot of scary sounds, and then bringing back a sack of meat and tossing it on the second one, or things like that. But no fingernail pulling or anything of that stuff. OK?"

A couple of water benders, a dike, a flaming arrow, and a few barrels of blasting jelly?
Sounds like the makings of a gay porn film.
...thanks

The colonel arcs her eyebrows and blinks at Kalal twice, as though she's genuinely surprised. "You're not? Okay, doesn't matter, tricks can be fun. Almost all of those require more than one prisoner, though. We could try the Ginger Beer Method, we used to love to pull that one on Aundarians."

Goldflower mutters something to herself softly, then starts ushering everyone to the door. "Come now little ones, we can play at war outside just as easily as we can in here but we can't spend all day dilly-dallying now can we?"

"Well I've experienced enough torture myself, on the receiving end, to have an opinion on it. Don'tcha think? And yeah, we'll need to capture at least two of them for the trickery to work I think.
Same arrangement as before as far as traveling? The Colonel and I traveling underground, and the rest of ye above and invisible? Where are we going to try and do this at? Where'd you see those patrols at, Jorr?"Ginger Beer Trick indeed. I had to google that... and I had to be quite careful about how to search for it... lol

Sckhar seems a little embarassed. "Well.... would you guys get upset if I say I can't get invisible? I could try to be stealthy, but.....it's not the same, you know?"

"Eh..." The colonel just shrugs her shoulders at Kalal's statement about torture. Then, she snorts slightly as Sckhar tells of his predicament. "Yes, we'll be very upset. You can't play if you're not invisible." Grinning, she turns to Goldflower. "Goldie, show him what the dwarf means by getting invisible."

"Well, if we're in agreement, let us make leave." Yamanu waits for Goldflower's gift of invisibility, and leaves with the group. Hide, Move Silently, Listen, Spot: 1d20(13)+18=31 1d20(3)+18=21 1d20(16)+15=31 1d20(12)+10=22Ok, so my move silently could have been better. Rolled hide despite invisibility since there's still a chance they could see me. However, adding the +20 to the spot DC from invisiblity makes that hide check effectively 51 for normal creatures without special detection modes like See Invisibility.

Y'all want me to come with ya by the way?"

"If you feel comfortable among us, I see no problem with that, mate... your knowledge of the area will be very useful." "Before it would have been stupid to go off on my own. But with a group, I reckon we stand a pretty good chance against them gobbos." Jorr smiles, as he checks his bow and starts loading up on arrows.

"Very well. Ladies and gentlemen, let's go into a goblin hunt!"
Sckhar stops for a second. "Is everyone ready?"

"Ready to split goblin skulls!" Kalal roars, then looks a bit embarrased.

Sckhar looks disappointed. "Damn.... I didn't get any goblin this time. Might as well kill more o them later..." Then, he turns to Kalal. "Maybe we could find a safe place close to the road, where we could squeeze some info out of them, and leave right away..."

Sckhar goes to Jorr's side, and start talking.
"Say, do you know of any place close to the road where we could go and squeeze some info out of these guys?"

"I think there's a small clearing about 5 minutes away from here, surrounded by plenty of trees.
Lemme go check for a minute."
With that the aging woodsman runs of into the woods, disappearing from sight and hearing for a little while. After a few tense minutes he returns with a smile on his face.
"Jup, looks like I was right. Follow me, fellas, I'm curious to see how y'all plan on getting this vermin to talk."
