An FYI, I'm going to be out of the country from the 9th until the 16th. My dad is getting married in South African and I'm his best man. I probably won't have internet access. What do you want to do with my character Bowen?

Going out of town myself from the 8th to the 14th and probably won't be able to post very much during that time.

A couple of water benders, a dike, a flaming arrow, and a few barrels of blasting jelly?
Sounds like the makings of a gay porn film.
...thanks

Well then, looks like we've got a slow period coming up Aside from some RP between Agita, Venn and Bears as they finish traveling to town, I think I won't start any important stuff (either combat or NPC roleplay) until you guys return, assuming that's okay with everyone. Have fun, guys

Well... I'm here and have internet access, and parts of this thing I'm at are quite boring. So... I'll be around.

Yeah, definitely ready here. I just wanted to bury them before we moved on. I guess we should have stated we were moving on, though...

Yeah, I was kinda waiting for that, making sure you guys had done anything you wanted to do at the farmhouse I'll get some more stuff up later today.

What are we out here for, again? Yeah... I was wondering about that, too... I guess we're aimless wanderers.

Yeah, but there's gotta be a reason you're not with the army still, and so on for everyone else.

Yeah, but there's gotta be a reason you're not with the army still, and so on for everyone else. The war ended and I don't really have anything to do. I'm basically on extended leave, with continuous availability in case I'm needed.

My character is an escaped slave, and if it is ok with Venn I was going to say that his character helped Kalal escape the waste. Since Yamanu is a "native" desert dwelling creature, and very sneaky, I figured he could be good at that. I don't know if that jives with his military background, though.
bears' character's draconic nature could be a good reason for Kalal to have taken up with him, since Kalal worships Syberis. Given that his character is young and a bit naive, Kalal would probably think he should try to protect him.
He would also want to protect the old giantess, because he thinks she's a bit daft but good-natured. He also worries that her dabblings with dark forces will one day come back to bite her, and he wants to be there when it does.
So I could certainly see why Saru, Kalal, and Goldflower would be traveling together. The other two seem like they're misplaced soldiers with nothing better to do, so maybe they just took up with us to have traveling companions, or out of a sense of survival (it's easier to get by in the wilds when you have allies to cover your own shortcomings).

Yamanu could have helped you like that, though it would have been a while ago. He's more part of a mercenary company than a military, though they are almost an official military in Xen'drik.

How would they have met up again, then? After Yamanu returned from Xendrik, he looked up his "old buddy", who happened to be traveling around with a shapeshifting dragon and an old woman? I guess that could work, though I'd imagined Kalal's escape hadn't been so far in the past. And how is the Colonel fitting into this "motley crew"?

That type of backstory works for Saru. I think we should stick we that.

She had nothing better to do and joined because talking to rocks, corpses, and your sword gets boring eventually?
