In that case, Grease actually works against me more than it works for me. If a creature doesn't move, I get no benefit. If they do and they fall, it's harder for me to hit them. There's only a tiny space for benefit, which is if I'm engaged in melee with the creature in question, and that's somewhere I don't want to be unless I know I can either get good damage off on them or I have little other choice.
@bears: Again, prone is terrible for me. Being prone doesn't deny a foe their dex bonus, so no sneak attack, plus they get a +4 to ac vs. ranged attacks. I'd be wasting an action if I attacked the prone dog.
If they try to walk and succeed, they're balancing. If they don't have at least 5 ranks in balance, that makes them flat-footed. So it could work out to benefit you. It just didn't this time. And prone is still good for everyone, since they're less of a threat and/or draw an AoO for standing up. So unless they both make the save and then don't move afterwards, it is overall likely to benefit us, I think. And... is there a decent way to handle my granted maneuvers online? Its really easy in real life, because you can just use cards. But we can't do that here... I guess I'll assign them numbers, roll 1d5, and then reassign and roll 1d4. Those will be the first two granted. Then I'll roll 1d3 next round... Kind of clunky, though.

Sounds like the makings of a gay porn film.

I think it's kinda dumb that falling prone doesn't mean flatfooted.

PXY: That's what I usually do. I list them alphabetically by level, then roll 1dX, where X is the number of maneuvers readied, and count down from the top.

Oh yeah, I think if my strike hits Colonel Sanders gets to take a 5' step if she wants. I forget who it is that has to be adjacent to whom, though... and I doubt she wants to, anyway.

Yeah. The +4 to hit probably would've been more useful, but eh.

Yeah. The +4 to hit probably would've been more useful, but eh. For you! I'd rather kill him outright and get it over with, and move on to the next one (if possible). Hmm... the +4 would also apply to the mule's attacks though. Also I forgot the +1 morale bonus to my attacks (and the mule's) from the Colonel's aura.

Here's an idea: How about we lure them out of the goddamn forest thing? Alternatively, set the whole thing on fire. Bears?

They must be fighting defensively or something, and probably can't hit crap themselves, either. It was the archers that were chewing you up, right? We could probably hit them if we use our Earth Strike ability + maneuvers that add to hit bonuses, but this is ridiculous. Yeah... let's just ignore them and go after the big dude + dogs, and bears can breathe these guys. And then we loot their freakin' armor... because it must be magical.

Actually, they've been hitting me every time. They just never got through my DR. Yeah, ignoring the wimps sounds good.

Alternatively, we could try tripping and/or grappling, since those don't rely on hitting full AC. I don't see that getting hit on the AoO even causes a trip to fail like it does for a grapple or disarm attempt (I've never actually tried it when it would provoke an AoO before. ).

I suppose I could do a Bull Rush since I've got Imp BR anyway... Might as well act like I actually care. Also, BR doesn't require an attack, just a Str check, which I'm confident the Colonel will win. If I ever play RHoD again, I'm going to be a Dungeoncrasher, just for this encounter.

What good does a bull rush do, besides provoking an AoO from me (which I'll probably miss )? Tripping would at least make them easier to hit.

I could shove them out of a tree square so they don't get the cover anymore, for one. (And then I'd be in that square and get the cover myself.) EDIT: Unless every square counts as containing a tree...

Yeah... I wasn't sure how they were getting cover in the first place. They've already moved around and are still getting it... and yet they are still hitting you (and probably me now...).

Yeah... I wasn't sure how they were getting cover in the first place. They've already moved around and are still getting it... Everyone in the 'trees' area gets cover, including you guys. Sorry guys, but that's what the adventure book says. @Phaedrus: I thought you had a 25, my bad. A 26 hits, I'll edit my post

True Strike ignores cover and concealment, right? Now I wish I still had the APs for an extra action...
