Due to the end of official support for 3.5 and so many things out there that I feel should have gotten more attention, I've taken on this project for myself.  Races of the Hunt will be lending some support to monsterous races that I have seen played often.  Centaurs and Gnolls got a little bit of support in Races of the Wild, but one feat just isn't enough in my opinion.  I am also trying to find two more races that fit the theme of the project.  Any help would be appriciated.  The project will include prestige classes, feats, and some equipment (spells/powers may or may not be included).

I will be posting material as I finish writing it.

Table of Contents:
Post 2: Prestige Classes
Post 3: Feats
Post 4: Equipment

Reserved.  Prestige Classes will be listed by race (with non-race specific PrC's being listed as such).  Racial substitution levels will come after that, again, organized by race.

Centaur
Bow of Skerrit
Prerequisites:
Base Attack Bonus: +6
Race: Centaur
Feats: Point Blank Shot, Precise Shot
Skills: Spot 9 ranks, Listen 9 ranks
Diety: Skerrit

Class Features:

Hit Die: d8
Class skills: Concentration (Con), Craft (Int), Handle Animal (Wis), Heal (Wis), Hide (Dex), Jump (Str), Knowledge (geography) (Int), Knowledge (nature) (Int), Listen (Wis), Move Silently (Dex), Profession (Wis), Search (Int), Spot (Wis), Survival (Wis), Swim(Str), and Use Rope (Dex).
Skill Points: 6+ Int modifier

Code:
Level BAB Fort Ref Will Special                                                                Spellcasting
1 +1 +2 +2 +0 Weapon Focus (bows), Skerrit’s Blessing          +2 Ranger casting
2 +2 +3 +3 +0 Hunter’s Strength, +4 skill points                                +2 Ranger casting
3 +3 +3 +3 +1 Greater Weapon Focus (bows), Hunter’s Aim        +2 Ranger casting
4 +4 +4 +4 +1 Archery Focus, +4 skill points, Skerrit’s Blessing +2 Ranger casting
5 +5 +4 +4 +1 Hunter’s Swiftness                                                +2 Ranger casting

Spellcasting: At each level, a Bow of Skerrit advances its Ranger spellcasting as though it had advanced two levels of Ranger.  If the Bow of Skerrit has no Ranger levels, he gains the spellcasting of a Ranger equal to twice his Bow of Skerrit level.

Skerrit’s Blessing (Ex): When in a woodland setting, a Bow of Skerrit ignores his size penalty on Hide checks.  He also gains a bonus on Hide, Move Silently, Spot, Listen, Survival, and Knowledge (nature) checks equal to his Bow of Skerrit level.  At 4th level, the Bow of Skerrit ignores his size penalty on Hide checks when in any natural setting.

Weapon Focus (bows): At 1st level, a Bow of Skerrit gains the benefit of the Weapon Focus feat with all bows.

Hunter’s Strength (Ex): At 2nd level, a Bow of Skerrit can make use of the centaur’s natural strength to greater effect while wielding a bow.  While using any composite bow, he may add 1-1/2 times the bow’s Strength rating to damage instead of the usual Strength rating.  When not wielding a non-composite bow, he adds ½ his Str modifier to damage.

+4 skill points: At 2nd and 4th level, a Bow of Skerrit gains an additional 4 skill points.

Greater Weapon Focus (bows): At 3rd level, a Bow of Skerrit gains the benefit of the Greater Weapon Focus feat with all bows.  He does not need to meet the prerequisites for the feat.

Hunter’s Aim (Ex): At 3rd level, a Bow of Skerrit may make a single attack with a bow as a full-round action to automatically hit his target.  Make the attack roll as normal, but any result that indicates a miss is instead treated as a hit.  Any miss chances that normally apply are ignored.  The Bow of Skerrit may instead attempt a Sunder or Disarm maneuver with this attack, although these are resolved as normal (opposed attack rolls), although size modifiers are not applied.  If the Bow of Skerrit can already make Sunder or Disarm attempts with a bow, he gains a +4 bonus on the opposed roll.  The Bow of Skerrit must have line of sight to his target to use this ability.

Archery Focus (Ex): At 4th level, a Bow of Skerrit's focus on archery gives a greater benefit.  While wielding any bow, he gets a +2 bonus on attack and damage rolls and his ranged incraments are increased by 20 feet.

Hunter’s Swiftness(Ex): Centaurs are known for their strength, their martial abilities, and above all else, their speed.  At 5th level, a Bow of Skerrit gains an additional Move action on each of his turns.  He may forgo this move action for an additional five-foot step if desired.

Design notes: The +2 Ranger casting at each level was selected mainly because Centaur rangers always lag behind their humanoid companions due to their racial Hit Dice and their Level Adjustment.  In a game without LA Buyoff, a Centaur Ranger 9/Bow of Skerrit 5 would be a 20th level character with the casting ability of a 19th level Ranger.  Since Ranger casting is not very strong, even in a game with LA Buyoff, the resulting 21st level Ranger casting would not be a problem.  Likewise, the bonus skill points at levels 2 and 4 are meant to offset the 2+ Int modifier skill points on the racial HD and the complete loss from the Level Adjustment.
The extra move action at 5th level seems incredibly powerful, but it is far harder to abuse extra move actions than it is to abuse extra standard or swift actions.
The prestige class was built around archery being a popular combat style among centaurs, and a Bow of Skerrit is just a little bit better at it than their kin.  It also exemplified other aspects of their preferred lifestyle, being more at home in the wilderness than humanoid races and also keeping with the centaur’s hunting traditions.

Gnoll
Ambusher
Prerequisites:
Race: Gnoll
Spellcasting: Arcane Caster Level 5th
Skills: Knowledge (the planes) 4 ranks, Spellcraft 8 ranks, Use Magic Device 4 ranks

Class Features:
Hit Die: d6
Class Skills: Bluff (Cha), Climb (Str), Concentration (Con), Craft (Int), Hide (Dex), Intimidate (Cha), Jump (Str), Knowledge (arcane) (Int), Knowledge (the Planes), Int), Move Silently (Dex), Profession (Wis), Spellcraft (Int), Use Magic Device (Cha)
Skill points:  4+Int modifier
Code:
Level BAB Fort Ref Will Special Spellcasting
1 +0 +2 +0 +2 Binding Chain +1 level of existing arcane spellcasting class
2 +1 +3 +0 +3 Ability Boost (+2 Int), Watch for Prey +1 level of existing arcane spellcasting class
3 +2 +3 +1 +3 Steal Defenses +1 level of existing arcane spellcasting class
4 +3 +4 +1 +4 Ability Boost (+2Cha), Binding Chain +1 level of existing arcane spellcasting class
5 +3 +4 +1 +4 Ambush Magic + 1 level of existing arcane spellcasting class

Spellcasting: At each level, an Ambusher’s spellcasting advances as though he had taken a level in an arcane spellcasting class that he has levels in.  If more than one class qualifies, then he must choose which class to advance at each level.

Eldritch Binding (Sp): As a standard action, and Ambusher can create a chain of magical energy between himself and a target within 60 feet.  Doing so requires a successful ranged touch attack.  The chain attaches itself to the target and persists so long as the Ambusher holds it.  This has several effects.
By winning an opposed strength check, the Ambusher can stop the target from going further than 60 feet away.  If he loses the opposed check by 9 or less, he can elect to be dragged along (provoking attacks of opportunity as normal).  If he fails by 10 or more, the chain is yanked from his grasp and dissipates.
While the chain exists, the Ambusher can channel any spell, Spell-like ability, or Supernatural ability requiring a touch attack or ranged touch attack through the chain, automatically succeeding on the attack roll (although no critical hits are possible).  At 4th level, channeled attacks also gain a +10 bonus on checks made to overcome spell resistance.
This ability is equivalent to a 4th level spell and is useable at-will.  An Ambusher can have only one Eldritch Binding in existence at a time.

Ability Boost (Ex): At 2nd level, an Ambusher’s Intelligence score increases by 2 points.  At 4th level, their Charisma score increases by 2 points.  These increases stack with all other bonuses.

Watch for Prey (Sp): At 2nd level, an Ambusher can better spot his prey without letting them see his hiding spot.  At will, an Ambusher can see through solid objects; they appear transparent to him.  This ability extends out to 30ft and lasts for 1 round per caster level.

Steal Defenses (Ex): At 3rd level, an Ambusher can siphon off a bit of magic through his Eldritch Binding ability.  When he uses the Eldritch Binding ability, he may elect to transfer one spell effect on the target to himself for the remainder of the spell’s duration.  He must make a successful Spellcraft check to identify the spell he wishes to transfer.  The target may resist this transfer with a successful Will save (DC 15+Cha modifier).

Ambush Magic (Ex): At 5th level, an Ambusher has learned how to hold back on magical attacks until the opportune moment.  He may now hold the charge of any spell as though it were a touch spell.  Releasing a held spell is a swift action.  Casting another spell before the held spell is delivered causes the held spell to be lost with no effect.
In addition, the Save DCs of all spells, spell-like abilities, and supernatural abilities of the Ambusher are increased by 2 on flat-footed targets.

Design notes: This was actually intended to be a Warlock-based Prestige Class as a homage to the Gnolls’ worshipping of a demon lord.  However, since the Warlock is not OGL-content, that had to be not a factor.  As it is, it clearly has a Warlock-feel without being limited to that class.  The class abilities such as Eldritch Binding and Ambush magic give a little more in bowing to the culture of Gnolls in addition to giving Ambushers unique abilities.

Spell lists & Domains
Hunt Domain
Granted power: Gain Favored Enemy ability (see Ranger ability of the same name).  Bonuses increase by 2 at 5th level and every 5 levels thereafter, but additional favored enemies are not gained.  Add Survival to class skills.

Hobgoblins and Goblins, maybe? They're fairly popular, but I have yet to see them being fleshed out very much in official material.

Sounds like an idea for the other races, at least.

The first PrC is up: Bow of Skerrit.  PEACH.

I like it. Looks like a good PrC for a Swift Hunter, if only for the capstone, which is appropiately thematic. At first look I'm worried about interaction with Mystic Ranger, but checking again, you'd need to finish the PrC before you're even with a MR without the LA and HD, so it should be fine.

Another thought: How about Merfolk? Someone needs to tackle the mermaid problem in D&D, even if it's only to say "Ask the party wizard and stop complaining".

Merfolk sound like an excellent choice, seeing as they've recieved even less support than goblins (they at least got some stuff in Eberron).

I changed the Bow of Skerrit to remove non-OGL material (all that's left is the name and diety requirement).  If I ever decide to get this published, I need to comply with those laws.  This doesn't make any real change to the PrC (and in fact, probably makes it stronger), but it needed to happen.
