Game Thread - Ganbarimasu! All in a day's work

"Ojou-sama, everything is fine now. The scary half-naked ladies are both gone." <3 As much as she tried to sound comforting, Shinobu's voice was clearly sounding a little disappointed from the fleeing of their opponents.

[Negative Zero]

Yuuka sighs in relief as she finds the mistress. She attempts to speak, but her voice is overpowered by the other two maids immediately trying to comfort Umeko-sama. Giving up on being heard, she pats Shinobu comfortingly on the back.

Has BG been down for anyone else, or was it just me?

"Arigatou, Yuuka-chan. I'll be sure to make it up to your comforting presence." <3 Shinobu replied with a grin.

[Agita]

It makes for an awkward moment when the maids realize that Umeko-sama wasn't hiding on the toilet. After the misunderstanding is cleared up, the mistress needs to be dressed and sent to school (she is only about five minutes behind schedule... for now), but then suddenly the power goes out.
And with it, the barrier...

SDK, I've already got an idea or two for this, but you're welcome to PM me with your own thoughts on fleshing this out - like why they're after Kittana and stuff.

"The power hath failed? Lady Umeko, we shouldst hurryeth to get thou to school. I hath a terrible foreboding about this*." Kittana said.

*Knightly version of Han Solo's "I have a bad feeling about this."

Kittana and the ninjas have met before and she did something to piss them off. Unfortunately out of time for now, so "Surprise me".

"Eeek!" For the first time in... a while, Shinobu demonstrated something that resembled unpleasant surprise. Fortunately, it's daytime. But the fact the barrier is down makes for plenty of annoyance.

"Mou~! This is so very inconvenient!" the lusty-busty maid offered with a puff of her cheeks.

[Negative Zero]

"It's probably a coincidence.. regardless, we need to hurry before Ojou-sama is late. Would you help her get dressed, Kittana-san? Shinobu-san always seems to take longer.." With a cheerful smile, Yuuka crossed the room to clean up breakfast and pick up her chainsaw.

"If those girls return any time soon, before the power is turned back on, it's probably best if Ojou-sama is not here."

Kittana agrees, and says, "I shalt dress thee with haste, Lady Umeko."
With that, she starts to help her lady get dressed.

Umeko-sama does not resist, and so Kittana is able to get her into her private school's uniform quite quickly. Luckily, it looks like they'll still be on time if they hurry and no further... complications arise.

If is such a beautiful word, isn't it?

I was just going to comment on how it would be best to not leave the task to Shinobu for the sake of expedience, but looks like SDK/Kittana is faster. Dressing someone is easy, so I'm going to say a 6 is easily enough. Some Favor for Kittana for the successful task.

If desired, the two others can make a bento for Umeko while Kittana is busy. Or help her.

Sending the mistress to school shouldn't be hard enough to warrant a roll - maybe I'll even have a limo provided by her relatives pick her up, as befits any Ojou-sama in an anime school setting.

Any mischief before saying goodbye, or can we move on to a... lively day?

"Yuuka-chan, let's hurry and make Ojou-sama's bentou! I'll help you at the kitchen." Shinobu offered - though she was, very clearly, a little upset she didn't get to help Umeko-sama dress herself.

"Right." After replacing her chainsaw, Yuuka quickly heads across the room to prepare the bento, hoping the activity would distract Shinobu a little from her disappointment.

Skill for that there food-making: 1d6*2=6.

Kittana looks her master over, seeing if anything is out of place. "You looketh well, Lady Umeko. Art thou ready?"

It quickly becomes clear that Shinobu's love for her Ojou-sama was the only thing that kept her on the job - she had minimal ability at anything related to actual maid work.

"Cooking, cooking, cooking with love <3"

Let's make breakfast! (1d6=5)

[Agita]

"..." Umeko-sama doesn't reply to Kittana at first, then hesitantly nods after a few seconds have passed. She keeps her gaze fiyed at the maid's ankles, though, and doesn't look up. The bentou seems to have turned out well, and indeed smells delicious. The mistress looks at it for a while before taking it, as if studying intently something she hasn't seen before - even though this isn't the first time you've made her one. She's reacted like this before, though, so it's nothing to worry about. Maybe. In any case, it is about time to send her off before something happens (and she is - oh woe - late for school).

In the meantime, two men that look like electricians are entering the house and ask the doorman for an appartment where three maids reside with their mistress...

Yeah, sorry for the delay. I meant to update when I saw the new posts, then got distracted and forgot about it.

With the bento delivered, Yuuka smiles briefly for the mistress, trying to cheer her up, and goes to begin cleaning. One of the other two would take the mistress to school today, and this mess would not do.

It happens to the best of us. Also to me.

"Ojou-sama, I should join you on your way to school! Those two kidnappers might come back." Shinobu's face briefly lit, glasses opaque and silly, drool-tipped smile showing as she thought of their recent "visitors".

"Good luck, Lady Umeko. May thou be safe on thy journey." Kittana says, seeing her master to the door.

After the pair leaves, she turns to Yuuka. "I wilt lend thee a hand. We shalt cleaneth this dwelling before the master doth returns. I wanteth the floors to shimmer as perfection."

It seemed as if she was forgetting something. As if some minor detail had escaped her view. No matter. She began cleaning around the sitting room. Near the phone there was a note in Kittana's handwriting that the electricians had to reschedule for next week...

[Agita]

"...I'm off." The mistress and Shinobu leave the appartment, leaving Kittana and Yuuka to their devices in the household. On the way down, two men dressed like electricians who are going upstairs pass the two, bowing politely. When the maid and her mistress are out of sight, they look at each other and nod. They know now that they're right here. The way to Umeko-sama's school is uneventful and not particularly long. They're behind schedule, but they should be able to make it if they hurry.

A while after Shinobu and Umeko-sama have left, there is a knock on the door. Who could it be?
In the building on the opposite side of the street - the one that got a very nice view of the back of the mech's head a while ago - a group of figures start to move...

We'll probably gloss over events outside the 'mansion'. It shouldn't really take a roll to see if Shinobu can get the mistress to school, but if you want you can give me a flat d6 roll to see if she's on time.

You're free to RP Shinobu gawking at underage schoolgirls or something, though.

After the mistress leaves, Yuuka busies herself cleaning up.

"Kittana-san, are you well? You seem... distracted." She asks her fellow maid politely.

"It be nothing.... At least, methinks so." Kittana said, her tail twitching nervously. There was something missing here... "I wilst cleaneth the upper level and checketh up on yon fixers of electricity."

With feline reflexes, she runs up the stairs three steps at the time and quickly reaches the top. She does a quick inspection of each room, keeping an eye out for the men.
