"Feel free to hit the blind vrock with powerful abilities" Mael sent to his allies. "He should be vulnerable right now."
The halfling is preparing a surprise of his own but he's not too confident about penetrating the demon's strong resistance to magic.

Getting there... (warning people, I mean) I've been busier.

One of the two confused Babaus moved towards the aberrant Vrock, with a motion to attack it, but he was too exhausted to get there.

The other stopped running and babbled incoherently again.

Doyle had been hesitating. He had an idea that these creatures were resistant to magic, but if he ever were to try anything, it was now. Calling again upon the power of his heritage, he reached out to the Blind Vrock's mind and spoke a few words.
'It would be wise to lie down, and seem harmless', he said, looking directly at the blinded creature - who of course could not see him. But it could hear, and feel... but somehow it didn't see the wisdom in the words.

Cat knew he was outclassed by these creature. He could not hit them, and if he did, he could not hurt them. He hid under the corpse.

To beat SR: 29
Vrock's save vs Suggestion: 20, duh, vs DC 17. He had a +1 bonus to will-saves left.  Bang Head

The Vrock groaned from many mouths as his arms were twisted with irrestable force, until it was completely pinned to the ground by the gargantuan construct. Then it was dragged away from the fight, and no matter how it thrashed about and fought back, it could not avoid it.

In its mind the construct reveled in the moment of triumph, all of its frustration at its long slumber coming back in alignment with its purpose as a warrior defending against demons.  The Marc growled a deep metallic sound and pulsed it's piston arms with hydraulic strength, slowly inching the spikes on its body deeper into the Vrock.

Not sure what the map looks like right now, but I know I've the movement to do all this

Isul slipped from the hut, avoiding the reach of the other foes, and slipped up next to the injured and blinded vrock, reaching out with his tail and sapping what little moisture appeared left in the weakened creature's blood, smiling a cruel smile to himself for a moment as he felt his powers do their work.

Moving to blinded and injured vrock everyone else is beating on, fighting defensively touch attack for 22, dealing 9 dessication damage bypassing DR with a Fort save DC 19 for half. 10 damage if they have the [Water] subtype instead, same save. I cannot hit these things with a normal attack, I do not think, so this is what I've got for the moment against this foe. My AC is now 29, not that it matters much with how heavy these guys hit.

Isul's attack easily hit the blinded Vrock. It gave a short yelp as its moisture was drained - but it was a big creature, and such a small sapping of water would not kill it, quickly. Still, whatever he did was better than nothing.

Vrock's fort save: 4, AFAIK Doomspeak is still active for Isul.

Unfortunately it will really take a while to kill it like this.

I've always thought all these touch attacks are rather useless - desiccating touch, the dreadnecro touch attack...

At least you should be able to do it with iteratives. Does it specifiy a standard action? If not, just hit it again. The WitW is a powerful class, but it doesn't come into its own until really late.

'Damn it all', Daelric thought to himself. He was weary and badly scorched, and now Mael wanted to pull him back into the line of fire. Still, hearing the others rather unsuccessful attempts at subduing the demon, direct intervention on his part may be necessary to maximize his chances of survival.

Reluctantly, Daelric moved back the way he had retreated from. Seeing the blinded demon surrounded by the dwarf and the squirrel (for lack of a better term), Daelric reached out to the blinded and vulnerable demon with his compelling magics.

"Save yourself. Flee from here as far as you can and don't come back."

OOC:
Daelric moves to A34 and cast suggestion at vrock1

Ok, I think that was the last person within the Doomspeak. Demon time Smile

Vrock's save: 11

The blinded Vrock found himself surrounded, and even though his injuries were less harsh than they could be, he would take a long time to heal, already. So the words that suddenly sprang up in his head made perfect sense.
[PRIVATE for Mael]
I'm leaving. Let's meet up at the rock pinnacle we passed earlier. he said on team telepathy. He didn't wait for a reply, either.
Quite suddenly he vanished.

The Vrock that was now pinned and dragged about by the MARC likewise saw his options diminished. He couldn't move anymore. He couldn't fight back. There was no other way to break the situation but to leave, too. Suddenly the MARC found his steely embrace empty.

Which left the last one present, who had attacked his comrades - and the Babaus. One of which would have liked to turn his attention on Daelric, now, but... thanks to Daelric's invisibility, he did not find a target. Instead, he continued to jabber incoherently. The other had apparently changed his mind, he looked around for a moment, and shambled back towards the remaining group. He stopped close to Cat's hiding place under the corpse, but did not notice him. Cat himself still felt very reluctant...

Unfortunately for the party, the two other Babaus who had fled, earlier, suddenly reappeared. They had been out of range of the general telepathy going on, so they did not know what had transpired.
[PRIVATE for Mael]
What's going on? one of them asked telepathically. Where did the other two go?

From their demeanor, it seemed they weren't too worried about being in any great danger...

This was finally the worthwhile target Doyle had been waiting for. Tapping again into his inherent power another cloud of glittering dust exploded between the two Babaus. And by whatever turn of fate, both of them began traipsing about blindly.

Cat finally saw his chance, too. He shot out of his hiding place and launched himself at the nearest blinded newcomer. Claws and teeth outstretched he hit the body of his enemy - and yelped in surprise as he found that his target was covered in acid. But Cat was quick - his claws shot through the skin and flesh of the demon quick enough to not catch the demon's acid - unfortunately it was his bite that dug deepest, but which also failed to get away quickly enough. With acrid smoke rising from his teeth Cat dropped beneath the demon. And again his claws proved rather ineffective at injuring the fiend. Only a few small cuts remained where a man would have been shredded.

[ooc]
I've again forgotten how long Mael's fear effect will still last. I think it should have finished in round 11 or 12, but I'm not sure.

Anyway, to speed things up... the other two just came back. And, managed to roll a 2 and a 1 on their saves. Duh.

Startled as it's prey slips from it's grasp into thin air, Marc rises with confusion and takes a look around.  Another Vrock had vanished as well...were they planning an ambush?  Unfortunately there was not time to think of such matters, as the brave cute little kitty cat seemed to be in imminent danger.  Marc took 3 lumbering steps forward and spewed forth a horizontal column of flame that seared all in it's path.  All save for the kitty cat of course, who had fortunately been attuned by the Marc to its phasic field frequency...

Move 15 feet towards Babau threatening Cat. Unleash hell: 31 fire damage, Ref save for 1/2.

Mael scowls as the weakened vrock disappears.
I wanted my turn too.

[OOC]
This is a busy week, and I'll be away Sat-Mon. So let's say Mael delays.

[Private for BP]
"It's over, we're going away" the vrock provided before explaining the meeting point.

Azur rummaged around the demon's memories until he found a clear image of the spot the other mentioned. Then he warned Mael before teleporting away - he had to ensure they would not come back.

[OOC]
He will head there and back. If it needs RPing (it likely does) it will have to wait.

Maneuvers granted - White Raven Tactics, Mountain Hammer, Shield Block, Battle Leader Charg
Martial Spirit stance

Fast heal 6

Current hp: 84

Battle Leader Charge to I39, attacking Ba1. PA 2, 15+21=36, 3+13+6+10=32

Heal cat 2 on a hit.

13 relfex enough for half?

The disappearance of the larger demons, followed by the reappearance of the smaller ones, gave Torgthen pause. He quickly was back in action though, as he saw the feline ally was clearly out numbered. With as much speed as he could muster, the dwarf rushed to aid the cat.

Using the extra momentum from the charge, he tried to bring low his foe.

Sorry for the delay....

As Thistle has said, it should be smart to retroactively protect you all against one of the damage types from the MARC's breath weapon. This is assumed to have happened at the Campfire the night before.

The angry dwarf charged into the slimy demon, and with his transformed weapon damage smashed a deep wound. However, even the smaller demons were very resilient, and it would need several such wounds to bring it down.

[PRIVATE for Mael]
What? Why are we leaving. We were winning, right?, the wounded Babau obstinately retorted in spite of being blinded. The wounds he had received so far were slight - and in all honesty none of the others were or had been even close to death. And even blinded, he felt confident that concentrated barrages of breath weapons could bring down their enemies.

Anyway, what about the other two? We can't just leave them here... if they are dominated in some way you should carry them. It's not like they could hurt you...

The Babau that had been attacked looked towards his confused brethren - as best as he could pinpoint them.

[ooc]
Torgthen needs to make a ref save vs. acid (3 damage) (DC 24), unless his weapon is immune...

"We are NOT winning" the vrock snarls mentally. "Right now someone is controlling this body and they forced me to attack kin. There's too much we don't know, too much at stake.

As soon as I'm free I'm leaving. Make your own choice if you want.

The Babau grimaced from many faces.

[PRIVATE for Mael]
'Controlling your body? That's.... tough. Alright, but we really... shouldn't be leaving the other two, dammit.'

[ooc]Put in your final Round 12 action for Mael, then we can move to the next round.

Finally he shook his head.

Round 13

The huge construct began roasting the already wounded Babau demon. Even though he was naturally resistant to fire, it still hurt.

"By all means, save them if you can."

Mael puts some more distance between himself and the demons, just in case.

He moves 1 square to the NW.
