Devanar was still praying. He glanced at Isul as he entered, but otherwise kept up his low chant. The Drow in the hut sneered at the rodent-like creature, but said nothing, because Handromal was giving him angry stares again.

Deciding not to disturb the priest while communing with his god and ignoring the drow, Isul decided to keep an eye on the surroundings from within the shadows of the doorway. He doubted there were more creatures like those chimeras, but the desert had no shortage of hunters. There were also still possibly demons around that might be attracted to the sounds of battle, and it would be best to not be seen in favor of the large and noisy golem.

Behind door number one: INSTANT DEATH! Behind door number 2: A magic crown! Behind door number 3: 4d6 giant bees, and THREE HUNDRED POUNDS OF HONEY! They don't/haven't, was the point. 3.5 is as dead as people not liking nice tits.
Sometimes, their tits (3.5) get enhancements (houserules), but that doesn't mean people don't like nice tits.
Though sometimes, the surgeon (DM) botches them pretty bad...

Torgthen had to admire the cat's fighting spirit; it would do a dwarf proud. With his nearest foe dead, the dwarf hurriedly made his way to the last of the beasts, though temporally disabled it still posed a threat. Relying the earth beneath him for support, he heaved his hammer toward the large beast.

[If you make DC29] [If you make DC 38] [If you make DC 41] The Bulette was very badly wounded by now, and kept howling in pain as fire and blade bit into it. Still, Doyle found that it put up an amazing resistance to his blade - even though it was bound, it was still not a simple matter of hitting it.

Isul kept his vision trained to the east, where he didn't have to stick his head outside of the hut to see. While it limited his field of vision, he felt he would have ample warning should anything attack the others standing in the open before they got to him.

OOC: Daelric silently cursed at himself as he felt the chimera's breath freeze him down to the bone for allowing himself to become to complacent in the battle. ROUND 6[Daelric] [Mael] I'm a bit lost as to the rounds, you need rounds 4 and 5 or 5 and 6 for your thing? I'm thinking at the latest the thing will be helpless in round 7. But whatever, my plans have not been foiled, yet - but narrowly so . Even as Doyle lifted his weapons to finish off the burning chimera, an invisible force grabbed his blade and attempted to wrench it from his grasp. At the same time, an invisible force attempted to literally take hold of Torgthen and grapple him to the ground. [Doyle] [Torgthen] [ooc] I'm going to wing the previous rounds. The critter will get around 50 damage extra from everyone involved Doyle and the MARC, and then we continue in Round 7. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/12539144/Battlegrid_Oasis_round7.xlshttp://dl.dropbox.com/u/12539144/Battlegrid_Oasis_round7.pdf (this got a bit big) That lump in the SE is supposed to be a Dune. Don't count every square to it, it's supposed to be around 100 yards away. New Enemy's init: 11 and 19. So far only Daelric is aware that something's there, but wait: Cat's spot: [1d20+11]->[2+11] = 13 [1d20+11]->[19+11] = 30 [1d20+11]->[18+11] = 29 [1d20+11]->[20+11] = 31 [1d20+11]->[2+11] = 13 Yay. Cat was quite used to only watching his mindsight, but nevertheless, as he trotted away from the heaped body next to him, something caught his eyes to the south-east. He stared, trying to see more, but he couldn't make out anything else. We got more company, he transmitted telepathically, with less relish than usually. I see a few heads, again... a blue-ish birdy-head in the middle, this time...Any actions after this happen in round 7

All of a sudden Torgthen was on the ground, and not of his own accord. Straining against some unknown force he tried to speak, "Urg...Yeh blasted handwaver, when I get a hold of you...!"

What is this, now?Mael focuses on the direction Cat is indicating, but he cannot make out the enemy. He incants another spell and a green and brown wall of tangled plants springs with barely audible crackling sounds from the dry sand, growing and growing until it obscures all view of the other side. A new voice, different from Cat's and very self-assured, can suddenly be heard in everyone's mind. " 'Tis but an illusion" [OOC]

[ooc] Nice... this is why I don't think about how or even whether you can beat my encounters, it's just impossible to predict. Illusions are weird: As long as they are just looking at them, they don't even get a save, AFAIK. And... SR15 isn't really of help against enemies like these . I'm waiting for Doyle to either keep his sword and CDG or not. This will be a critical factor in how this plays out.

[ooc] Yes, you hold the first one, but the second will succeed. However, you do NOT need to take an iterative for a reactive check vs. Disarm. Your bonus is still 20. Unfortunately, that still won't hold the sword. But ok, great . The sword was wrenched from Doyle's grasp, it hung in the air, controlled by invisible forces. Then several things happened very quickly. A wall of plant sprang up from the sand, obscuring the view of the dune to the south-east. Doyle's sword dropped to the ground, and the grip on Torgthen lessened. But then, out of the blue, creatures popped up around the party. Two skinny black demons with long claws, feathered wings, and five heads, among them two dragon heads, one sharp-toothed demonic face, and two goat heads dropped right into the middle of the gathering, and took up flanking positions around Mael. Two more appeared next to Daelric, and likewise moved to flank. And finally, three scrawny, bird-like demons, with five heads like the others, popped up as a group in the center of the gathering. They took each other's hands, and began dancing around, while screaming in a cacophony of demonic and other voices. It was a children's rhyme - or a variation thereof - clamoured in Common, Abyssal and Draconic at the same time in a ridiculous canon. RING A RING........ ......................... RING A RING O'........ .............................................RING A RING O' ROSESAnd at the same time, a voice reverberated in everone's head. LET IT GO! LET IT LIVE!Everyone make a spot DC 20. If you make it:

As the closer demons were hit by Mael's aura of awe, they wavered, but stood their ground - for now. [Isul]

The moment the force eased up, Torgthen stood swifter than one should be able to, in full armor. Throw all his strength behind the blow, he aimed for the base on all the heads of the prone foe.
