Isul grinned slightly behind Devanar's back to see some fire and passion finally grace the priest before looking towards the others. "Much like the priest has a duty to the people, I am charged with protecting the desert herself and cannot turn aside from joining this course of action. Where do the rest of you stand? We need to move back to the surface and not waste more time in these ruins."

Doyle looks around at the rest of the group then back to Devanar "I have come to give aide where i can, this seems to be the best course of action.  you have my abilities with you.

The dwarf got only headshakes of denial from the elf and the canines, but was quick to turn back around as the conversation turned towards the mutations. He listened intently to the priest's words, trying to figure out how best to proceed. "You say the demon army above and the mutations abroad could be connected?" He said this more as if thinking out loud than to anyone in particular. "The council must be informed." He finally said, as if he had decided on something. Now addressing the priest, "Do you believe we have the time for a message back to my clan? I dare not abandon those I have allied with unless I am able procure them aid in my sted."

Even while these deliberations were ongoing, Devanar shrank back to his original size, and visibly sagged as his Divine Power left him.

Nevertheless, he let his eyes wander over the group, at those who had not articulated themselves, yet.

Holdamir nodded to Torgthen.
'Of course we can get a message to Baztgirn. I'm not sure about this location, it seems we are a lot less deep that in the north, we should be able to teleport out just fine.
But what of you? Will you stay here or go along with the plan against the dragon and the drow? That old drow is undoubtedly expecting our return. Of course, I would not say we even had an alliance with them, nor should I ever wish to have one. All of these black elves are evil, and can't be trusted.'
He threw a sidelong glance at Drannoth, who was still hanging close to the Hounds, and who grimaced back.
'Present company... not excepted.'

As a show of some trust to those in the cavern, the dwarf replied in common, "I am a dwarf of my word. Aid will be given to the drow if I have to do it myself, though with these recent bits of knowledge, I am torn on which path I should follow. If the council agrees to help the drow in my place, I believe it best to continue to the surface." Glancing towards his dark skinned companion, "I don't think everyone will be suited for such a treck though..." He paused for a second and then a small grin crossed his face, "I may have just thing in mind to fix that." He turned back to the hound he has been talking to before, "Haste is needed, stop by Glankbir's first, and start him on the supplies, ask him if he has a pair of deep goggles for our friend over here. It should take him a little bit to get everything gathered, meanwhile you will need to inform the council." He reaches to his hand and pulls off an ornate ring, "Present this, it should get you a meeting immediately."

Holdamir took the ring.
'Alright. I take it you will not move too far away from here by the time I return. I will try to find you - on the surface near here.'

The celesitial exchanged a few barked words with his compatriot and then vanished.

The dwarf gave a nod at the disappearance.

Turning back the group, the dwarf addressed them as a whole, "I would like to be in place for when he returns, shall we make our way to this surface entrance?"

His dark friend has a slightly worried look on his face.

"May as well. Not like sitting down here will be productive in any fashion," Isul mutters as he starts back down the hallway, tucking his light source back into a pouch.

With a sinking feeling, Mael suddenly realizes he's lost his ride up.
"Er... I may require a little help getting up that shaft" he says, embarassed. "It was the soul-eating goblin - not that I knew about it at the time - who took care of us on the way down.

There's also the problem of the giant fellow over there
" he adds, thumb pointed at the Marc.

Even Devanar had to admit - they had not thought about the way out. He had simply assumed Mag or Agnak could have helped them. Now they were stuck here.

He looked around belatedly.
'I, too, am going to require assistance. Or we have to find another way out of these ruins.'

Gods-bedamned idiots, Isul thought to himself. "I can get everyone back up one at a time, except for the stoneman," motioning towards MARC. "Maybe you should have thought about this before you attacked the barghest?" Isul finished, aiming this last towards Devanar as he headed back down the hall.

The dwarf gave a sigh, secured his hammer and shield, before pulling some rope from his bag, and then proceed to start knotting it, as he walked with the group.

Daelric had remained silent during the unfolding events, content to merely observe the new arrivals. The revelation of Mag's true nature had not disturbed him as it had some of the others. Indeed, what Mag had done for the Dragonling was something that Daelric would've considered a gift. Agnak's existence was allowed the finality of oblivion rather than the curse of an eternal existence.

Returning to the current situation.
"What is to be done with the construct then?", Daelric asked the group. "I too lack the necessary magic required to lift or teleport him, so unless he capable of lifting himself to the surface...", Daelric left the thought unfinished.

[ooc for everyone]
By the way, in case I've forgotten all this: I'm just going to throw all the possible loot from the construct and Agnak out there for you now, you have to divide it as you see fit. It would be good if some of you used some cash to get some save-boosting items. I've looked over your sheets again, and I've seen many a sucky save bonus Smile

From Jaslach:

Gloves of Dex +1, Str +1
Infernal Armour (Large +3 Chainmail w/ 1/day Fly)(evil Celestial Armour from SRD)
4x Large Stone Spitter +1 Aptitude Collision (these are pretty expensive, actually, I think +5 weapons + the cost of the graft)
Large glaive +1
Maug Graft (Rollers)
Vest of Resistance +1
Periapt of Wis +1
Amulet of Protection from Good

From Agnak
+1 Guisarme
+1 Mithral Breastplate of Nimbleness
Crystal of Arrow Deflection (Least): +2 AC vs. ranged attacks
Armbands of Might: +2 on Str checks ,+2 dmg on PA
Gloves of Dexterity +2
Steadfast Boots of the Battle Charger
Least Crystal of Return
Everlasting Rations
Healing Belt
Backpack
Bedroll
Flint and Steel
Cloak of Resistance +1

So, there. If you like you can retroactively have Holdamir take some of that stuff and sell it in Baztgirn.

Now even though it'll be a bit hard to justify in character, I guess it would be best if you somehow divided this stuff up between all of you, based upon need.

The large metal construct had just been standing there, confused at the strange arguments occurring between the tiny humanoids.  Such a strange meeting of minds from across time and space. While the fat human engaged in battle with the decrepit old goblinoid, MARC had busied itself poking through the dust and rubble of the former Maug, and began picking bits and pieces that were still salvageable.  Some of these it placed in internal pockets that opened from concealment around it's huge body.

After awhile it was finished and stomped over to the others in time to hear of their predicament.

"Follow me..." was all the construct replied before starting off deeper into the underground fortress.  "If you came from that way you must have fallen down one of the ventilation shafts.  There is a larger shaft this way.  Perhaps the lifts still function..."

For BP:
So...not sure what you had in mind...shall I just keep making stuff up as I go?  I have an idea if you didn't already have something planned.
