Still in round 12The remaining Vrock finally vanished, too. Round 13The four Babaus were left to their own devices. The two who were at least not confused were blinded, and one was threatened by multiple enemies. Stumbling blindly he took a step towards his confused, jabbering brethren. He took the confused demon by the shoulders - but was ill rewarded for his care. The jabbering monstrosity turned around and dug teeth and claws into him. Again the natural resistance to damage prevented most of the effect, but not everything. A few small gashes remained. The other likewise tried to move to assist, stumbling into Torgthen in the process. He hastily sidestepped to get around him. None of which proved too wise on the battlefield, being threatened by both the dwarf and the construct. He stopped in front of the jabbering demon.

The Marc reaches out with it's great metal hand and attempts to grab the caustic demon.

AoO, PA 2, 14+19=33, 4+13+6=23
Heal cat 2 on a hit.
Maneuvers granted - White Raven Tactics, Mountain Hammer, Shield Block, Battle Leader Charge, Iron Heart Surge Martial Spirit stance
Fast heal 6
Current hp: 90
Mountain Hammer, attacking Ba1. PA 2, 10+19=29, 5+13+6+9=33
Heal cat 2 on a hit. Even though it wasn't really the time for such a thing, Torgthen chuckled to himself about odd antics of the smaller demons, all the while swinging his hammer in an attempt to bash their skulls in.

The gargantuan steel hand reached out and grabbed at the demon. Reflexifely, it tried to deflect the hand with a draconic bite, which it managed to do in spite of being blinded. Torgthen's hammer, on the other hand, made good, and forceful, contact on both his targets, and left huge bruises, even in the tough demon hide. At least one of the demons looked quite badly injured, by now. The lone Babau a little away went on babbling.

The lumbering construct takes 3 gigantic steps forward and bathes the cluster of allies and enemies alike. For a moment, Torgthen and Cat are bathed in an inferno, though the flames do not burn them and feel as but a strong breeze.

Seeing that the larger fiends had fled the scene, Daelric moved his wounded body away from the battle, leaving the disorganized remains of the fiendish trope for the other, heartier, members of his ...group to deal with. OOC:

To all outward appearance, Mael is content with observing the fireworks from a safe distance. [OOC]

Round 14The demons were roasted medium well by the construct - just still not dead yet.

Isul - Round 13 and 14
Seeing their acidic skin eat into Cat, Isul hung back, ready to blast them with a spell if his more scuffle-prone companions couldn't bring them down.

A gygaxian dungeon is like the world's most messed up game show.
Behind door number one: INSTANT DEATH! Behind door number 2: A magic crown! Behind door number 3: 4d6 giant bees, and THREE HUNDRED POUNDS OF HONEY! They don't/haven't, was the point. 3.5 is as dead as people not liking nice tits.
Sometimes, their tits (3.5) get enhancements (houserules), but that doesn't mean people don't like nice tits.
Though sometimes, the surgeon (DM) botches them pretty bad...
Best metaphor I have seen in a long time. I give you much fu. Three Errata for the Mage-kings under the sky, Seven for the Barbarian-lords in their halls of stone, Nine for Mortal Monks doomed to die, One for the Wizard on his dark throne In the Land of Charop where the Shadows lie.

Torgthen continued his unrelenting rain of hammer blows, swinging once from the left, and then in the back swing, from the right. Pleased with the result of the recent gout of fire from the large construct, the dwarf urged it on, "There still standing, blast 'em again!"

Torgthen's perseverance and courage under duress finally paid off - his target, the already badly beaten demon, succumbed under the blows, and dropped to the ground, just a trickle of breath still rustling through its badly beaten lungs. The other lucid one reacted with dismay. OUR VENGEANCE SHALL COME! MOTHER SHALL CURSE YOU! it yelled mentally, before suddenly vanishing. The confused creature next to it continued jabbering, but lumbered past Torgthen and the MARC towards Daelric's last perceived position. The other, jabbering and drooling, approached Cat's tiny form and lunged at him with a dragon bite. Cat had been on his toes - but not quite enough. The draconic teeth pierced and sliced his flesh. It wasn't a deep bite, though, and Cat had already healed, and been healed, enough to be well out of danger. However, Cat did not feel his presence was of any help at this moment - he took the chance to retreat behind the hut - hoping the two confused ones would be either dealt with or also finally teleport away.

Mael steps farther away from the demons but otherwise makes no move to help.
If someone looks in his direction, he spreads his hands apart with an expression that says it all: I did what I could.

The demon's poor choice in movement was all the opening the dwarf needed to slip another hammer blow through his foe's defenses.

The demon may have been confused, but it wasn't blind, like the other. Even a minor twist of its body was enough to let the heavy blow glance off its thick hide.

The MARC, emboldened by the Dwarfling's valour, blasts two more gouts of flame at the creature it had just scorched.
