q217 Can I stack Practiced Spellcaster or Spellgifted with the Martial Arcanist ability of Abjurant Champion? Thinking of a build with not much casting but which can cast GMW at CL 20 A217 I don't see why not. Practiced Spellcaster pretty much applies whenever it would be most beneficial to you. In other words, after Martial Arcanist resolves, in this case. Though the real question is whether it stacks with Loredrake, for some wyrmling full-casting fun.

Q 218 Are there any sources other than the PHBII for duskblade spells? I can start with 6 level zero spells but there are only four of them one the spell list.

Countdown to Zombie Apocalypse 97 When you see this, copy it into your sig and -1 Quotes In other words, he thinks there's a "correct" way to play D&D. *sigh* There is: Kill shit and loot the corpse! When you use a tool the way it was designed for -- its intended function -- then it will work very well for you.
But it's not the tool's fault if you use it for something else and you fail utterly, such as trying to eat cereal with a butterknife, pounding nails with a screwdriver, blogging to voice your political opinions, and brushing your teeth with a hammer.

A 218I had the same problem for ranger spells (not being able to find any), but this site works wonders. http://www.imarvintpa.com/dndlive/index.php Just go the Search Spells section, and fill out what you need. For 0th lvl spells of a duskblade, I count nine on that site.

Q 219 When I look at spells, sometimes I see things like "Recharge: 5 minutes." What exactly does that mean?

Which spells? Because it sounds like you're talking about a variant mechanic ( Recharge Magic) or another edition (4th).

Sounds like the makings of a gay porn film.

Yeah, imarvintpa is where I've seen them, so it looks like the Recharge Magic variant is where it belongs. That's kind of interesting. Sucks if you're wanting to combat cast certain spells as a sorcerer, but as a wizard that's awesome.

Actually, spontaneous casters have faster recharge times to compensate. Granted, the ability not to choose at will still sucks, but there's some compensation.

Q 214: Is there anyway to fake the synergy requirments on burst (DMG II) weapons?
I don't think so. They were reprinted in MIC, BTW. I know that, but prefer the DMG II version

q199Is there any way to add energy [energy] descriptor to spell stored in a wand? Or create wand storing modified spell? I don't think that you can do it with Snowcasting, not while crafting, and not while activating...or maybe I'm wrong? Still new to the world of crafters and artificers Magic Item Compendium has the Vest of the Master Evoker, which allows you to add the effect of any Sudden metamagic feat to a wand with an evocation spell in it. I thought I remembered reading something about a wand wrap that could do things to a wand, but I can't find the reference... A 199: Ya I know I am very behind, but I finally found the wrap (it was bothering me). page 133 of Complete Mage has Metamagic Wandgrip that allows you to apply a metamagic feat you know to a wand and drain an additional amount of charges from it equal to the level of the metamagic feat. You could effectively use this with Substitution and change the elemental type of the wand.

Q220: Are there any 3rd Edition issues of Dragon - or Dungeon, though that's less likely - that have material for epic levels besides #295?

With regards to what? I mean, there's epic level monsters and protagonist NPCs in Dragon and Dungeon, but what are you looking for?

Feats, classes, and NPCs with epic class levels in particular.
As an example, while the various demon lords technically have epic CRs, I wouldn't consider them epic. They simply don't use any epic material, so they're just superpowered non-epic threats. Dragon 295, in contrast, explicitly mentions several epic feats and prestige classes.

Make sure you're looking at the whole list. I think the entire list is with the duskblade class, and not at the end of the book in the Spells section (that only lists the new duskblade spells). I could have that backwards, though...

The Spell Compendium does state in the begining of it (page 3) that they specifically did not add other classes to their list of spells in this book. But, it DOES say that you should feel free to add to classes where it is appropriate. Things like tough spells, personal protection, buff, and rays should be acceptable for duskblades.

(and get +1 from song of the heart?) Also, does evangelist stack with bard for BM uses?
